Tap I
Tap I provides the dancer with the opportunity to discover the joy of tap. In addition to understanding time and rhythm, the dancer will develop an understanding of tap vocabulary such as flaps, shuffles, cramp rolls and ball change. This class will enable the student to successfully execute these and other basic, fundamental tap dance skills. This class is great for building confidence in musicality.

Jazz I
Jazz I is a high energy classes that focus on technique and musicality. These 30 minute classes include a warm-up, across the floor techniques, and learn combos to help remember choreography. Dancers will learn fundamental jazz basics & progressive leaps & turns. Our Stretch Class is highly recommended for all dancers.

Ballet I
Ballet I is an hour-long class for dancers 7-9 years old. Dancers will be introduced to elementary ballet steps both at the barre and center. Stretching, coordination, strength building, and musicality will be key components in the students dance education. All students are required to bring a notebook to class to notate ballet terminology and practice exercises at home. Ballet 1 students will participate in an evaluation class in the spring semester to determine their placement for the following year.

Creative Movement
Creative Movement is open to children who have turned 3 or 4, respectively, by September 1, 2022. Must be potty trained.

Creative Movement builds on the foundation of dance. The syllabus is designed to gently introduce young dancers to a structured and safe classroom environment. Instructors will be instilling the physical and emotional confidence to explore and create. Social skills are also developed through collaborative and cooperative games. Over the course the year, activities become more challenging as dancers gain confidence in their coordination and skills.

Kinderdance
Kinderdance is a combo class of ballet basics and tap dance. Children are developing their technique, gaining body awareness and refining basic skills, while still having imaginative and creative dance experiences. They are taking a more active role in their own learning, acquiring the tools to collaborate, choreograph and exchange ideas with their peers. Students advance to Ballet I next.

Ballet III
Ballet III includes a large amount of material & ballet terminology is increased. As a result, students usually remain in Ballet II for two consecutive years. Girls will begin to study pre-pointe work designed to prepare them for pointe shoes. Students are expected to bring a notebook to help retain information & exercises. Students take part in an evaluation class in the spring.

Ballet IIII
Ballet IIII is the highest level of ballet. Dancers will begin to dance at a faster tempo as they continue to build a better understanding of the technique, terminology, & coordination. Dancers are expected to bring a notebook to class to write down corrections to prevent plateau & continue their progress. Ballet IIII students will participate in a spring evaluation to receive feedback on their improvements & critiques.

Pointe III & IIII
Pointe work is a milestone step in a dancer's training that requires a methodical approach to ensure that the strength needed to dance en pointe successfully is achieved. Students will begin to work in the center, begin pirouettes en pointe, & begin to develop their artistry. Instructors will evaluate & give approval for pointe shoes. Students must be at least 11 years old for pointe shoes. Dancers can take this class on flat to build strength & technique.

*Must be enrolled in the ballet class scheduled before this class.

Advanced Contemporary
Contemporary dance encourages dancers to be versatile in their expressions. Dancers will be taught how to portray a wide array of movement styles, technique, and emotion. Advanced contemporary focuses on spacial and body awareness, use of body weight, floor work, leaps, turns, efficiency of muscle usage, and safe body alignment.

Beginning pointe work is a milestone step in a young dancers training that requires a slow methodical approach to ensure that the strength needed to dance en pointe successfully is achieved. Students will stay at the barre & work slowly as they develop the necessary skills to dance en pointe safely. Instructors will evaluate & give approval for pointe shoes. Students must be at least 11 years old for pointe shoes. Younger dancers can take this class on flat to build strength & coordination.

*Must be enrolled in the ballet class scheduled before this class.

This class is a full-length class. Open Ballet is for technique & will not participate in the Spring Concert. This class is for dancers intermediate to advanced. Adults are welcome as well. Natasha's Open Ballet curriculum pushes both levels of dancers while keeping the tempo of class moving swiftly. Expect to get better turnout, technique, pirouettes, & placement from Natasha's Open Ballet Class.

Pilates
Natasha holds her Balanced Body Pilates Certification. Natasha has blended the world of dance & cross-training as she has developed a curriculum that addresses the demands of dance and common imbalances that lead to injuries. With these classes your dance performance will be enhanced with a greater understanding of muscle usage & anatomy. Pilates for Dancers is designed to improve upper back extension, turnout, stronger core, extensions of the legs, arabesques, knee extension, point of the foot (plantar flexion), ankle-foot stability, jumps, and carriage of the arms.

Participants are open for anyone ages 11 & up. Adults are encouraged to join as well.
