Jazz class will focus on learning proper dance technique such as isolations of the body, improving performance quality and developing complex rhythms and patterns. Students will be exposed to various styles of jazz. Class curriculum is based on ballet technique layered with traditional jazz movement and includes a proper warm-up, stretches, isolations, across-the-floor progressions, and combinations. As students progress through each level curriculum will become increasingly more complex and intricate.

This introductory class gives students the opportunity to experience lyrical dance, which combines techniques and skills from ballet, jazz and modern. Students will also explore how lyrical dance emphasizes interpretation of music lyrics to tell a story with movement that can be fluid or abstract.

Pre-Ballet
Ages 3-5 - This is a mommy and me class. A parent/guardian or other adult must participate in the class with the student. Students learn the basic dance terminology and movements. Their adult partner is there to help positing their arms, hands legs and feet in the proper positions to help begin the muscle memorization process.

Lyrical class is designed for intermediate to advanced students with previous training in ballet. As students progress through each level curriculum will become increasingly more complex and intricate. Students must take this class in conjunction with ballet

Hip Hop
Hip hop is a high-energy class that infuses the latest styles of street dancing. Classes will encourage students to step outside of the box by bringing their own individual style and personality to the movements. Hip hop dance requires students to have the strength and stamina to successfully perform moves. Therefore class includes upper and lower body conditioning as well as a vigorous warm-up to help prepare students for more intense movements.

Core and Full Body Focus class targets exercises and routines to sculpt the abdominal area and train the power house. There is ground work and upper body workout, along with full body barre workouts and strengthening routines. This class is for those who want to build endurance and can stay fast pace throughout the class.

BARRE ABOVE Pilates and Yoga focus
Pilates and Yoga Focus targets full body barre but with the forms of Pilates and Yoga stretching. Yoga and Pilates focus is for those looking to shred some extra weight, sculpt the body and lengthen their muscle in the process. ( please keep in mind we do not use reformer machines) Pilates Movement is modified without reformer. This class if for those wanting more of a slower but still steady pace class.

Self-Defense For Women
Self-defense is a set of awareness, assertiveness, verbal confrontation skills, safety strategies, and physical techniques that enable someone to successfully escape, resist, and survive violent attacks. Not all women have the time or desire to take up a martial arts. We've put together this 2-hour 'Self-Defense for Women and Teens' course to give you the skills to be aware of potential violent attacks and how to avoid and escape. We will teach you how to; ->Assess your surroundings, notice warning signs, and remove yourself from potential harm. ->Use the power of your own voice to thwart an attack. ->Recognize warning signs of violence in an intimate relationship. ->Resist and escape physical and sexual violence by strangers and acquaintances. ->Free yourself from an assailant’s grasp. ->Develop an arsenal of strikes, kicks, and defense techniques for countering physical attacks. ->Defend yourself against weapon attacks and multiple attackers. We offer our women's self-defense classes once every 2 months but may offer additional classes if there is enough demand. If our schedule doesn't work for you, you can also request to have this class run for a private group (minimum 5 students). Contact us for details.
