Beginning Jazz, Leaps and Turns
This is a technique class designed to assist students in focusing on the leaps, jumps and turns that dancers perform in Ballet, Jazz and Hip Hop. This specialized class is a way to better your technique when executing basic leaps, center leaps, turns, and fouetté. Ballet and Jazz classes will not spend a lot of time focusing on these skills and a student wishing to strengthen their skill level with these techniques may want to consider the Leaps and Turns class as an adjunct to skill development. Ages 5 to 8

Advanced Jazz, Leaps and Turns

Intermediate Jazz, Leaps and Turns
This class will give students a thorough grounding in jazz terminology and technique while giving them an opportunity to grow as performers. The warm-up and progressions will use classic jazz technique to develop students' musicality, athleticism, alignment, and performance. We will use this technical base to explore a variety of jazz styles, including classical, musical theater, jazz-funk and lyrical/contemporary

STUDIO 1
Pre-Ballet
This is a mommy and me class. A parent/guardian or another adult must participate in the class with the student. Students learn the basic dance terminology and movements of ballet. Their adult partner is there to help to position their arms, hands legs and feet in the proper positions to aid the student in beginning the muscle memorization process. Young dancers will learn the basic ballet steps while learning how to follow direction and imitate movement and gross motor skill development. Engaging music is used to get these little ones inspired to dance. The class includes a free dance period with students gets to make up their own choreography. Ages from 3 to 5 years.

Tumbling
This class has no prerequisites and is geared towards athletes with little to no previous tumbling experience. Students will learn; Basic body control Basic Strength exercises Basic Flexibility exercises Handstands Forward Rolls Backward rolls Cartwheels (Possibly) Bridges and kick overs (Possibly) back and front limbers Backbend Kick Overs Back Walkovers Front Walkovers Round-offs Beginning technique for Back Handsprings Ages 10-17

Ballet 1
Students will learn classical ballet techniques and terminology. Each class includes barre exercises, center floor work, and across-the-floor combinations. The ballet curriculum is based on a combination of the French, Balanchine method as students progress through each level curriculum will become increasingly more complex and intricate. Ages 6 - 8 yrs old

Ballet 3 (Pointe)
All Pointe classes are designed for students with previous ballet training. Students will utilize previously learned ballet technique while working in both ballet slippers and pointe shoes. Each class includes barre exercises, center floor work and across the floor combinations. Students will learn more difficult combinations and skills while developing finesse and classic style. Dancers must master all level I and II skills and technique to enroll in this level with the instructor’s recommendation. Instructor placement is required for this class. For students 13 to 17 years of age.
