Musical Theatre ll
This class is designed for the dancer who wants to expand their knowledge to include training in the area of Broadway style dance. The class will focus on the type of movement and performance skills needed for stage. Music selections will be from well known musicals and give students the opportunity to experience the "triple threat" of singing, dancing, and acting. Focus will be on the dance component of Broadway styles but class will incorporate exercises to improve stage presence and acting improvisation skills. This class is recommended for students 8 and up with two to four years dance experience.

This is where your little dancer develops a lifetime love for dance. The dance sampler classes explore the basics of three different idioms - ballet, jazz, and tap. Students are taught technique and skill building in all three styles, as well as choreographed dances. A strong emphasis is placed on learning terminology, a fundamental understanding of music and its relationship to movement, and alignment and positioning. The goal of the dance sampler classes is to build a solid foundation in dance for young dancers to build on as they continue their study. This class is recommended for ages 3-5 years.

Acrobatic Arts I
Acrobatic Arts is a unique blend of dancing and gymnastic disciplines that is taking the dance world by storm. Stunning moves from gymnastics is blended with steps and routines from the dance world for a unique and modern approach to dance. ATD is the only Acrobatic Arts certified studio in our area. Students will be working on strength and flexibility, as well as foundational acrobatic techniques in variations such as cartwheels, bridges, dive rolls, walk overs, aerials, and more. These skills will develop by level as they progress through the training program. Dancers who study acro are stronger, have better body control, and can integrate in seamless transitions and tricks in to their dancing.

Monthly packages are based on an average of 4 lessons per month, but it is not an individual lesson fee, but rather a monthly fee. There will be some months when there will be less than four lessons, but this monthly fee not only makes billing easier for us and for you, but also takes in to account the multiple hours outside of the lesson spent on our soloists.
Lessons are not able to be rescheduled if a dancer cancels or misses their private/duet lesson.

Contemporary Conversations
This class is full

Drop Dead Dance Intensive
This week long camp intensive is designed to expose dancers to all styles of dance training. Dancers will spend a full day rotating through classes in ballet, jazz, contemporary, hip hop, tap and musical theatre styles and work with all of our ATD faculty. This camp is designed for the dancer who is ready to take their training to the next level. Any dancer interested in being a part of our intensive program and competitive teams for the 2024-2025 season is required to attend this week to be evaluated for team placement. All campers are invited to perform for our Summer Showcase and will be included in performance choreography.
We will be splitting this camp in to groups that will rotate throughout the day. Please keep all day reserved for your dancer and they will attend in 6 hour blocks. 9-3, 11-4 or 3-9. These blocks will be determined by the number of dancers registered and split by age group.

Commercial jazz is entertainment driven jazz meant to sell or promote a product. It may include jazz dance in music videos, television film, and for-profit performance venues. This is the area in the dance industry where the most amount of dancers are being hired and exposure to how to work with this style of choreography, being on film, performing with artists, etc is an essential component to a well rounded dance education. This year, our Commercial Jazz Camp will be taking on the decades! Grab your legwarmers, we are throwing it back to our favorite eras gone by. Female dancers will need heels for this camp.

Does your dancer have an older dancer that they look up to? Now is their chance to work with them one on one. Our older dancers will be co-teaching this camp as they work and mentor our younger age group. Your dancer will be partnered with one of our advanced company members who will work with them to develop a duet to be performed together as well as a small group piece. They will help them with every aspect from concept to music to costuming. We know that the mentoring relationships formed will go long past this one week. This camp is recommended for dancers ages 6 to 12 years.

Campers will be given speaking roles, song and dance numbers from one of these entertaining musicals. If your child is interested in a lead role, details about auditioning will be sent out in advance. Every student who registers will be included in this production and will work on their skills to bring this story to life. Boys Only Hip Hop
This is a boys only hip hop class. Our male dancers often want a place to dance where they feel comfortable and accepted - this is that place. The class is taught by a male instructor, with a masculine movement style. Enjoy the excitement of dance with the camaraderie of your peers. Technique & Training II - Thursday Class
This class is recommended for all dancers who are planning to continue their training in order to keep up their technique over the summer. Class will include conditioning, flexibility work, focus on key elements such as turns, leaps, and jumps - as well as new combos each week. This class will rotate instructors to allow our dancers to experience multiple styles and the focus is on Jazz/Contemporary movement. Technique & Training II is recommended for ages 11 & up and designed for dancers who are currently in our Level III or IV placement.
Technique and Training II is offered on Tuesday and Thursdays. This registration is for a 6-week commitment for the Thursday class only. Alternatively, students may elect to attend either the Tuesday or Thursday class (or both) as a drop-in and pay per class.
