Primary Ballet I focuses on ballet foundations (body positions), proper technique, ballet terminology, and creativity! A typical Primary I class starts with ballet barre, flows to a series of yoga based stretches chosen specifically for dance, then the dancer moves to center work, and the class ends with a fun exercise utilizing each dancer's creativity and imagination.

Intermediate Ballet I Ballet Technique & Pointe
Intermediate Ballet I is suitable for those who have completed our Primary II Level or equivalent and have a solid classical technique. Ballet technique will be taken to the next level by finding space in the body to let go of tension and fully enjoy the experience of dancing gracefully. Time at the barre will be spent examining the dynamic and technique of the exercises in preparation for the remainder of the class. Centre practice will focus on stationary, turning, and travelling exercises then moving on to jumps, beats and grande allegro combinations. You will strengthen your classical ballet technique, learn more complex sequences and steps, and gain confidence in pre- pointe work and beginning pointe technique. Introduction to pointe work once student passes test.
Curriculum: 2 years (dancers can expect to train for 2 years in this level).

Intermediate II/Advanced Pointe Technique emphasis is placed on perfecting technique, building strength, executing multiple turns en pointe, complex pointe sequences, and developing artistry to bridge the gap between advanced student and pre-professional training.
Prerequisite: At least 5 years of ballet training plus 2 years of pointe training minimum, mastery of all the Intermediate Technique and Pointe syllabus, and faculty approval.
Attire: Appropriate uniform leotard. Short skirts are permitted

No distracting jewelry allowed. Hair must be neatly pulled back from the face into a bun.

This Intermediate level Tap class is designed for students with a solid knowledge of tap technique. Our intermediate tap dance classes are taught to a wide range of musical styles, including Jazz, Broadway, African, Indian, and Brazilian, broadening students’ musical horizons and always making each combination new and different. Aerial Arts
This class is your entry point to all things Aerial! SPACE IS LIMITED
If you’ve ever been curious about training in aerial arts, this is a great place to start. In this course you will experience a variety of different aerial apparatuses (including Lyra, silks, hammock, etc.). Your instructor will guide you through a brief warm up with basic conditioning exercises to build strength before working the aerial apparatuses. You will learn how to safely do a variety of tricks and poses throughout the class and channel your inner “Cirque du Soleil” aerialist. This is a great introductory class for those who have never been in the air before or who are not quite sure which aerial apparatus they would like to pursue. Come ready to have fun! No previous experience is necessary; this workshop meets on Thursdays during our Summer Sessions.

This Intermediate level Tap class is designed for students with a solid knowledge of tap technique. Intermediate Tap Dance Classes focus on strengthening each student’s dance and music skills through improving rhythm tap technique and learning various styles of choreography. Aerial Arts
This workshop is your entry point to all things Aerial! If you’ve ever been curious about training in aerial arts, this is a great place to start. In this course you will experience a variety of different aerial apparatuses (including Lyra, silks, hammock, etc.). Your instructor will guide you through a brief warm up with basic conditioning exercises to build strength before working the aerial apparatuses. You will learn how to safely do a variety of tricks and poses throughout the class and channel your inner “Cirque du Soleil” aerialist. This is a great introductory class for those who have never been in the air before or who are not quite sure which aerial apparatus they would like to pursue. Come ready to have fun! No previous experience is necessary; this workshop meets on Thursdays during our Summer Sessions.

Intermediate Ballet I is suitable for those who have completed our Primary II Level or equivalent and have a solid classical technique. Ballet technique will be taken to the next level by finding space in the body to let go of tension and fully enjoy the experience of dancing gracefully. Time at the barre will be spent examining the dynamic and technique of the exercises in preparation for the remainder of the class. Centre practice will focus on stationary, turning, and travelling exercises then moving on to jumps, beats and grande allegro combinations. You will strengthen your classical ballet technique, learn more complex sequences and steps, and gain confidence in pre- pointe work and beginning pointe technique. Introduction to pointe work once student passes test.
Curriculum: 2 years (dancers can expect to train for 2 years in this level).

Pas de Deux Summer Intensive
July 31st - Aug 4th: Ages/Levels: Intermediate II/Advance and Pre-Professional students. Men and women ages 12-22 years old. Considerable pointe experience is required.
This exclusive in studio summer intensive will focus on the study of Pas de Deux and Variations for both men and women from the great classical ballet repertoire, immersing students in Technique, Pas de Deux, Variations and Codas associated with each selected ballet. Open to Intermediate II/Advanced and Pre-Professional students. Our 2023 Pas de Deux SI will be taught by international dancer and award winning artist, Alvin Tovstogray.

Mr. Tovstogray's Bio: Born in Dnipro, Ukraine, he received his training at the Dnipro State Choreographic School under Viacheslav Volkov. From 2008 to 2010 Mr. Tovstogray continued his training at The San Francisco Ballet School and later joined The Washington Ballet Studio Company. In 2012 Mr. Tovstogray joined Oklahoma City Ballet as a company dancer, was named Soloist in 2014 and promoted to Principal in 2015. He received multiple awards at International Ballet Competitions including Bronze at WBC Orlando, Silver at Istanbul IBC and Gold at Tanzolymp Berlin. His repertoire includes works by Edwaard Liang, George Balanchine, August Bournonville, Anthony Tudor, Jiří Kylián , Nacho Duato, Twyla Tharp, Stanton Welch, Michael Pink, Septime Webre, Robert Mills, Helen Pickett, Ma Cong, , Margo Sappington, Matthew Neenan, Amy Seiwert, Brian Enos, Yui Sato, Jacob Sparso and others. Mr. Tovstogray is an American Ballet Theatre® National Training Curriculum Certified Teacher in Primary through Level 5 of the American Ballet Theatre® National Training Curriculum. While being an active professional dancer his teaching goals and principles aim to prepare pre-professionals for their potential careers using industry's most current standards and requirements.

Intermediate II/Advanced Pointe Technique emphasis is placed on perfecting technique, building strength, executing multiple turns en pointe, complex pointe sequences, and developing artistry to bridge the gap between advanced student and pre-professional training.
Prerequisite: At least 5 years of ballet training plus 2 years of pointe training minimum, mastery of all the Intermediate Technique and Pointe syllabus, and faculty approval.
Attire: Appropriate uniform leotard. Short skirts are permitted

Your instructor will guide you through a brief warm up with basic conditioning exercises to build strength before working the aerial apparatuses. You will learn how to safely do a variety of tricks and poses throughout the class and channel your inner “Cirque du Soleil” aerialist. This is a great introductory class for those who have never been in the air before or who are not quite sure which aerial apparatus they would like to pursue. Come ready to have fun! No previous experience is necessary; this workshop meets on Thursdays during our Summer Sessions.

Primary Ballet I 6-7 Yrs
Primary Ballet I focuses on ballet foundations (body positions), proper technique, ballet terminology, and creativity! A typical Primary I class starts with ballet barre, flows to a series of yoga based stretches chosen specifically for dance, then the dancer moves to center work, and the class ends with a fun exercise utilizing each dancers creativity and imagination.
Attire: Girls - Light blue leotard (no skirt attached) and pink tights. Boys - White/Black or TDC T-Shirt, Black dance pants/shorts/tights, White or Black Socks.

Primary Ballet II 8-9 Yrs
Primary Ballet II builds upon the ballet foundation laid by Primary I. Dancers begin to focus on musicality and to retain more complex ballet sequences. We continue to focus on proper technique, alignment, and expanding our ballet vocabulary! Jumps and introductory turning exercises are introduced at this level.
Attire: Girls - Light blue leotard (no skirt attached) and pink tights. Boys - White/Black or TDC T-Shirt, Black dance pants/shorts/tights, White or Black Socks.

Intermediate Ballet I Ballet Technique & Pointe
Intermediate Ballet I is suitable for those who have completed our Primary II Level or equivalent and have a solid classical technique. Ballet technique will be taken to the next level by finding space in the body to let go of tension and fully enjoy the experience of dancing gracefully. Time at the barre will be spent examining the dynamic and technique of the exercises in preparation for the remainder of the class. Centre practice will focus on stationary, turning, and travelling exercises then moving on to jumps, beats and grande allegro combinations. You will strengthen your classical ballet technique, learn more complex sequences and steps, and gain confidence in pre- pointe work and beginning pointe technique. Introduction to pointe work once student passes test.
Curriculum: 2 years (dancers can expect to train for 2 years in this level).
Attire: Royal blue leotard and pink tights.
Shoes: Pink ballet shoes. Pointe shoes upon approval from instructor.

For Ladies: Considerable pointe experience is required for this Advanced Level class.
For Men: 13 and up. Strength and Conditioning as well as regular ballet technique, is required for this Advanced Level class.
Attire: Ladies Intermediate II - burgundy leotard and pink tights. Advanced - black leotard and pink or black tights. A skirt or practice tutu (as requested by instructor) maybe worn.
