BrainDance for Beyond 50's & Beginners
This class will run for 8-weeks. This class utilizes a movement tool that is sequential and holistic exercise based on the developmental movement patterns infants move through their first year of life and we continue throughout our lives. Students will warm up to the BrainDance pattern work and utilize creative movement skills, balance and strength. The BrainDance was originated by Anne Gilbert in Seattle. It is comprised of eight fundamental movement patterns that reorganize the central nervous system. It improves memory, balance, attention, increases oxygen and blood flow to the brain and respiratory systems, develops better sensory integration, motor skills, enhances core support connectivity and better alignment for integration of body and mind.

Following the BrianDance students will be led into a Brain-Compatible Movement class with guided explorations of the concept of the day, making shapes with the body, developing skills, combining movements, and creating collaboratively with others through improvisation.
