Ballet/Tap Monday (5-6)
This is an introductory class for young students. Dancers will learn to move and dance in a stimulating environment focused on creativity, group interaction, and the joy of self-expression. The first half of the class is dedicated to learning the basics of ballet, then dancers will learn the basics of jazz. Students must be ready to participate in class without parental supervision. Dancers should wear pink tights, solid color leotards (leotards with skirts are acceptable), pink ballet shoes and black tap shoes. Hair should be worn in a bun.

Jazz III
Jazz III requires a prerequisite of Jazz II or placement from one of our faculty members. This class includes turns including chaines, piques, pirouettes, jazz turns, and some ballet turns, to name a few. Leaps include grande jetes, turning jumps, and tour jetes. This class will also incorporate suspension movements and hip hop. Students attending should wear tights or jazz pants, a leotard and tan jazz shoes. Hair should be pulled away from the face.

This introductory to Intermediate Tap Class will span from basic tap steps and expound upon them, continually progressing to incorporate more advanced tap work. Tappers will use their upper body to enhance their dancing and understanding of musicality, performance and body awareness. Tap students should wear leotard and tights or comfortable workout clothing and tap shoes. Hair should be pulled away from the face.

Jazz II
Jazz II is an introductory class to jazz. This class includes turns including chaines, piques, pirouettes, jazz turns, and some ballet turns, to name a few. Leaps include grande jetes, turning jumps, and tour jetes. Signature to jazz dancing is the "jazz walk." Jazz walks can be performed in many different styles. Another popular jazz move is the "contraction." A contraction is accomplished by contracting the torso, with the back curved outward and the pelvis pulled forward. Learning jazz dance technique takes a lot of practice. Students attending should wear tights or jazz pants, a leotard and tan jazz shoes. Hair should be pulled away from the face.
