Ballet’s strength, balance, and flexibility are foundational to many types of dance, so there is no better place to begin and ballet will always be a beautiful place to develop and grow in dance!

Theatre Arts (ages 9 & up)
This class will let you or your student experience the joy that acting brings to your life and the lives of others! We will delve into the tools you need to bring a character to life, how to use your dramatic giftings to honor God, emoting to reach an audience, and the basic principles of blocking and stage movement. You will learn to bring color to the black-and-white words of a script and so much more! Your experience will culminate in acting in our spring show where we incorporate acting, dance, and music. There are also parts available in our Christmas production which takes place at the Festival of Trees the Saturday after Thanksgiving. The only drama we want in our lives is on the stage, and this is where we learn how to make drama fun and enriching!

We love working with adults and older teens, too! Whether you are taking tap for the first time or returning to dance classes for fun and fitness, refuel by investing in yourself while improving your tap technique, core control, alignment, posture, confidence, and so much more! You'll be working on rhythms and steps and having a blast! We will move as quickly as the class is comfortable with and we will do a little conditioning, so come prepared to move!
Dress Code: No leotard and tights required (though I'm happy to see them if you have them)! Solid color (preferably black), clothing so I can make sure your body is aligned properly, such as yoga pants or sweats and a T-shirt.

Students are captivated by the excitement of Jazz that is always uplifting in an atmosphere that is God-honoring. We will explore Broadway-style and classic jazz Jazz, this class is full of energy and showcases a dancer's individual style and originality. A strong Ballet background is key to mastering Jazz technique. We will be working on Kinetic Revelation's Jazz 3 curriculum.
Prerequisite: Jazz 1 and 2 or instructor approval. Previous or current ballet training is recommended but not required.

Contemporary 2-3 ages 11 & up
Contemporary dance grew out of Jazz, modern, ballet, and lyrical and borrows elements of all of them as well as other styles. It also has its own unique technique which includes strong and controlled legwork, contractions and release, more use of flexed feet, and floor work. Changes in rhythm, speed, and direction, as well as improvisation are all a part of Contemporary. This exciting style is full of emotion, musicality, and personal expression. You're going to love this class! It is highly recommended that students enrolled in this class also take ballet or have some ballet background.
•Prerequisite for Contemporary 2 is Contemporary 1 and/or some previous ballet or jazz, and may require an evaluation by the instructor.

Join us for a trial class in Adult Tap! We will warm up and then start tapping. This is a beginner to advanced beginner level class and we would love to have you join us!
*You don't have to wear a leotard and you don't have to have tap shoes for the first class. Just wear something you can move in, leggings are a great option, wear socks on your feet, and come dance with us!
*If you enroll in regular classes by September 1, you will receive $5 off of your registration fee, as well! *The regular adult ballet class also has a drop-in option so if you can't come regularly, you can come when you can. (The cost is a little higher per class to do the drop-in option.)

In The Light Theatre & Fine Arts Camp (1/wk for 6 weeks)
Your student will work on acting skills including characterization, emoting to reach an audience, how theatre and faith come together, principles of blocking, and will learn excerpts from scenes to perform for families at the end of camp, as well as a Broadway-style dance piece to Jordan Feliz's song, "Jesus is Coming Back." The show excerpts will be from a previously produced Kinetic Revelation production (which one depends on the number of students who enroll) and we may add a little singing without pressure to sing. Students will also be led in an acrylic painting which will be done over the course of the camp and a Bible study on walking in the light and being the light of the world is a part of each session.
This camp is one hour and 30 minutes long per week for 6 weeks and a $10 materials fee is required. Payment can be made in two installments.

GOD'S PRINCESS CAMP Age 5-10
Creative dance, worship dance, a little ballet, Bible stories and verses, and crafts are all a part of this enchanting summer day camp experience! Each day, we will explore a different princess and how one of her character traits can help us learn to know God better and in our own lives and walks with God.
We create a castle over the four days with each character trait on a spire and it's also a box to keep treasures in but that isn't our only craft! Each day we do a smaller craft, as well! Each student will take home her crafts as well as a special gift at the end of the camp, and we will have an end-of-camp demonstration of what we've learned on the final day. Christ-centered music is used throughout the camp, as well as some instrumental ballet class music. Four days of fun, learning, leaping, crafts, and joy! Materials are included in the price of the camp.
