Experienced dancers who are members of The Dance Ability Movement community (dancers, volunteers, instructors, siblings who dance), all of whom will pay to be a member of the 2022-2023 IN-PERSON Performance Crew. This class is choreography only. All dancers MUST be registered in ANOTHER dance class to maintain their dance technique and connection to DAM community. Invitation from The Dance Ability Movement.
For experienced dancers who love the opportunity to perform! These dancers will gather for choreography classes only, to learn choreography targeted at advocating for dancers of all abilities and enhancing the social movement. Dancers are expected to be committed team members who proudly represent the broader Dance Ability Movement community. Dancers will be called upon to perform at various community events. Dancers participating in the Performance Crew must be registered in or volunteering for at least one other Dance Ability class. Dancers must be available for community performances set-out at the beginning of the year, and be open for future performance opportunities that may arise. Consistent attendance at these classes is important!
Please note the fee is for choreography time/lessons plus 1 competition entrance fee. Additional costume fee will be added once registered.

An in-person class designed for returning Dance Ability Movement dancers, ages 11+, who wish to focus on developing their Ballet and Jazz technique. These dancers do not necessarily need a 1:1 volunteer buddy, but benefit from having peer models in the class to learn from and develop age-appropriate social relationships. Dancers will learn technique and skills based on the Canadian Dance Teacher's Association (C.D.T.A.) syllabus. Typically dancers registering for this class have been referred by their OT from The Dance Ability Movement or they are interested and ready for a new challenge.

Tap classes develop skills in rhythmicity, counting music, balance, and coordination, while providing a great source of audio feedback for dancers to learn through hearing their feet move! This is a great option for dancers looking to expand their dance skill set and branch out from the Ballet, Jazz, and Hip Hop styles. Dancers will be required to wear tap shoes for these classes. Seated dancers can join in the musical rhythms too! Ask us for ideas on how to adapt tap shoes or modify tap classes to suit your needs!

This online Fitness class is open to our Teen/Adult dancers and PARENTS TOO! Sign your dancer up and let us know if you (the parent/guardian) wishes to participate as well! Each week Miss Yvonne will take the group through some movement, balance, coordination, and strength exercises to help keep everyone healthy and feeling good!
Family members can join in on the ACTION! Bring your work-out gear, indoor running shoes, and a water bottle. Make sure you have enough space for each participant to safely move about their home work-out environment. This FITNESS class will bring the FUN with FRIENDS and FAMILY to help enhance FUNCTION for a healthy FUTURE!
