Standard classes with The Dance Ability Movement are generally offered in either 8-class blocks or 25-class blocks depending on the season you are registering for. Any special/new class offerings may vary slightly in class amounts.

Each week Miss Kayla will take the group through some movement, balance, coordination, and strength exercises to help keep everyone healthy and feeling good! Using functional movements, classes include a warm up, circuits (a series of 2-3 timed exercises), and a cool-down. No equipment necessary. Family members are welcomed and encouraged to workout together. This FITNESS class will bring the FUN with FRIENDS and FAMILY to help enhance FUNCTION for a healthy FUTURE!

Get ready to move those feet! The best part about tapping at home is you don't need to wear your tap shoes! You can learn all the moves and practice footwork wearing runners or anything comfortable for you. Tap class will focus on learning rhythms and making music with your hands and feet. This fun and energetic class will challenge our creative potential! We will explore movement through creative channels such as a trip through a jungle or think about how a clock dances! Our collaborative creations will result in a one-of-a-kind-never-before-seen piece of art!

Creative Creations - Fridays

This is a creative movement class where we use the foundations of dance technique to design dances. Participants will need to have a few props available to them for this class:
- hula hoop
- a hat (ie. top hat or cowboy hat)
- a teddy bear or favourite stuffy
Props will be used to create a circle dance (elements from folk dances), a hat dance (elements from jazz), and a teddy bear picnic (elements from ballet).
Dancers will also have the opportunity to explore some drum dancing! Dancers will need a drum, or an exercise/pilates ball inside a large tub/pail (or smaller bounce ball inside a sand bucket), as well as drumsticks (or something that can be used as drumsticks). This will be high energy, creative, and FUN!

During this hour dancers will have an opportunity to socialize and interact with participants through a guided social activity each week (15-20 minutes). Dancers will then be taken through a high energy and cardio driven dance class, with the focus on continuous movement and getting that heart pumping! Seated adaptations will be modelled. This class does not include a choreography/combination component and is geared towards dance for fitness and endurance.
