Experienced dancers who are members of The Dance Ability Movement community (dancers, volunteers, instructors, siblings who dance), all of whom will pay to be a member of the 2022-2023 IN-PERSON Performance Crew. This class is choreography only. All dancers MUST be registered in ANOTHER dance class to maintain their dance technique and connection to DAM community. Invitation from The Dance Ability Movement.
For experienced dancers who love the opportunity to perform! These dancers will gather for choreography classes only, to learn choreography targeted at advocating for dancers of all abilities and enhancing the social movement. Dancers are expected to be committed team members who proudly represent the broader Dance Ability Movement community. Dancers will be called upon to perform at various community events. Dancers participating in the Performance Crew must be registered in or volunteering for at least one other Dance Ability class. Dancers must be available for community performances set-out at the beginning of the year, and be open for future performance opportunities that may arise. Dancers must purchase a Dance Ability Movement T-shirt. Consistent attendance at these classes is important!
Please note the fee is for choreography time/lessons only. Additional costume fee and potential competition entrance fees will apply. - CLASS TUITION FEES ARE POSTED FOR OCTOBER-DECEMBER 2023 (10 classes). An upbeat virtual class for dancers aged 13+ designed to keep our teens and young adults movin’ and groovin’! This Hip Hop style class teaches dancers to learn choreography, move in different ways, and appreciate a multitude of music styles through the use of the Elements of Dance (Body, Action, Space, Time, Energy). An online class designed for returning Dance Ability Movement dancers, ages 13+, who enjoy musicals, broadway, and acting! These dancers do not necessarily need a 1:1 volunteer buddy, but benefit from having peer models in the class to learn from and develop social relationships. This class is for dancers who express interest in acting, drama, and dance, and are looking for a FUN way to lip sync to musicals while learning dance choreography! The class will learn a few different combinations from different musicals throughout the season.
Typically dancers registering for this class have been referred by their OT from The Dance Ability Movement or are looking for a new dance style to participate in other than the standard "Dance Ability Hip Hop" classes. VIRTUAL PERFORMANCE CREW - MONDAYS 8:00-8:30 PM
Experienced dancers who are members of The Dance Ability Movement community (dancers, volunteers, instructors, siblings who dance), all of whom will pay to be a member of the 2023-2024 VIRTUAL Performance Crew. This class is choreography only. All dancers MUST be registered in ANOTHER dance class to maintain their dance technique and connection to DAM community. Invitation from The Dance Ability Movement.
For experienced dancers who love the opportunity to perform! These dancers will gather for choreography classes only, to learn choreography targeted at advocating for dancers of all abilities and enhancing the social movement. Dancers are expected to be committed team members who proudly represent the broader Dance Ability Movement community. Dancers will create a virtual performance that will be entered into a competition and may be used for other community performances. Dancers participating in the Performance Crew must be registered in or volunteering for at least one other Dance Ability class.
Consistent attendance at these classes is important!
Please note the fee is for choreography time/lessons from January - April 2024. Additional costume fee and potential competition entrance fees will apply.
