All our Tiny Circus classes are run without parental involvement, inviting children to take a tiny step into independence in a safe, extra-fun environment. We have Tiny Circus activities specially designed for 3 - 5yrs and 5 - 7yrs. The sessions are a lovely introduction for tiny people to the world of structured learning and are especially beneficial for kids in the years before they begin school. The age requirement in the 3 year old class is that participants have turned 3 before the start of the term. Similarly participation in the 5 year old class requires children to have turned 5 before the start of term.

During the sessions, students focus on tumbling (such as forward rolls, cartwheels, handstands & round offs), acrobalance (building pyramids) and trapeze, juggling and hula hoop skills. All of which are foundational circus techniques. Experience Level: No experience necessary. The Circus Arts Level 1 sessions are perfect for newcomers and those with a little more experience wanting to try a little bit of everything. Want to try circus but looking for more of a challenge? Perhaps you have some existing skills from gymnastics, cheer or dance and are looking for something different? Build on the skills you have learned in Circus Arts Level 1 or gymnastics/dance, develop your existing abilities and improve your confidence, strength and agility. During the sessions, students focus on tumbling (such as dive rolls, backward roll to handstand, handstand forward rolls, round offs, walkovers and handsprings), acrobalance (building pyramids, partner acrobatic skills), trapeze, aerial silk & aerial hoop, juggling and hula hoop skills. All of which are foundational circus techniques. Experience Level: Some experience necessary. These sessions are perfect for Circus Arts Level 1 students with a little more experience and focus wanting to challenge themselves further, or students with prior gymnastic experience. We scale our exercises/progressions to suit each students individual capabilities. Pre req: Forward roll, Backward roll, Kick to Handstand, cartwheel with good body tension, pointed toes and straight legs! 45 Second Chest to Wall Handstand. Additional skills - encouraged but not required: Juggle 3 Scarves for 20 Catches or Juggle 2 balls for 20 Catches or Hula hoop on waist for 1 minute. Thigh Stand (Partner Acro). Mount and sit on Trapeze/Lyra. Climb silk to the top! This class is perfect for beginners or students with prior gymnastics experience wanting a little extra. Want to supplement your class? This class builds on the skills learned in Sub Junior & Aerial 101 levels, developing endurance, strength and agility on each apparatus. Experience Level: Coach recommendation is required to gain entry to this class, unless a sub junior AAA course has been completed prior & the following skills achieved with good presentation. - SILK - Must be able to complete 2x climbs in a row, french & russian. Must be able to straddle back in the air 2x. Footlock both feet in the air, at an even height with ease. Hiplock from the floor. Catchers wrap in the air is preferred but not essential. - TRAPEZE - Must be able to lift legs to the bar straight, in straddle or pike. 15sec knee hang. Gazelle. Catchers. Straddle balance. At least 2 skills in the ropes. - AERIAL HOOP - Must be able to straddle up with straight legs. Man in the moon. Knee hang 15sec. Star. Split. Contortion Level 2
Build on your skills from Level 1. This class is for the intermediate flexibility student ready to take their skill to the next level and higher-level students looking to supplement their training. Class will start with an intensive warm up and progress to extreme stretching & strength conditioning drills for the back, legs, hips and shoulders. Students will then learn various techniques to gain strength in their flexibility enabling them to continue learning contortion tricks with a safe and controlled body. Inter./Adv. Students will continue mastering more advanced moves with an emphasis on finding control and strength within their flexibility, utilising handstand based positions. Prerequisite Notes: - We recommend all students attend a handstand class to supplement their training. Handstand Freehold 10s + Walkover Comfortable in both full splits and center straddle. Elbow stand 20sec + Chest stand. Must be able to go from standing to their bridge and back up to standing. This aerial silk specialty class builds on the skills learned in Aerial Arts Levels 1-4, giving the student the opportunity to hone their skills on the fabric and perfect their technique while developing smooth transitions and building a repoirtoire of drops, rolls and sequences. Experience Level: Coach recommendation is required to gain entry to this class. PRE REQUISITE SKILLS: 5x straddle inverts from a hanging position, 3 pull ups, 3 skin the cats, Hiplock, Catchers, Double Footlock, knowledge and ability to demonstrate at least 3 drops and 4 climbs, knowledge and ability to demonstrate at least 5 movements in sequence.

Sub Junior Troupe - Circus Essentials Level 3
This invitation/audition only troupe class is your first step to discover your inner talents and becoming a well rounded circus performer! By now you have completed Circus Arts 101 and challenged yourself with Circus Arts Level 2, you know you are truly passionate about circus and think you may want to become a professional performer one day. You've dedicate yourself in class, and are motivated to practice. You love helping your peers succeed too and are always ready to support fellow students in their journey. You want to challenge yourself and take your skills to the next level, in fact, because of your amazing attitude to training, your coaches have recommended you take the next step to troupe training. Welcome! In this class you will: - Build your strength & flexibility - Develop your Circus Essentials (juggling, partner acro & more) - Ensemble show creation - Learn to engage audiences and build a unique ensemble show with your troupe, which you will perform mid year. This class is by invitation only and a requirement for all troupe students. All troupe must enrol in at least one acrobatics class in addition to troupe training. Experience Level: Coach recommendation is required to gain entry to this class. Junior Troupe Training - Circus Essentials Level 4

Welcome! In this class, athletes will focus on perfecting body form and height of the handspring, in addition to other skills such as the side aerial and front sault. They will also work on connecting skills such as handsprings, walkovers, cartwheels & side aerials. Athlete will start working on spotted back hand springs and back & front saults. ADVANCED PERFORMANCE TROUPE - ENTRY IS BY AUDITION OR SELECTION ONLY. To be eligible for Performance Troupe Selection, you must have at least 2 High Level Specialty skills and well rounded 'essentials'. Specialty Skills must consist of: 1x Ground Based Act or 1x ground act & 1x Aerial Act OR 2 x Ground Based Acts. Troupe students must be enrol in at least 2 specialty classes in addition to this class. The cost of this has been calculated and is included in the quoted tuition. You must also be available for all of your classes and make yourself available to perform at community events. Classes are on a semester basis. Handbalancing Level 3-5
This handstand class is specifically designed for those progressing to freehold and pressing techniques. Improve your freehold handstand above 30 seconds. With teacher spotting, students continue work on “press ” handstands, as well as varied handstand positions (diamond, straddle, side touches, split press, hollowback etc) while retaining control of their balance, working to achieve a freehold handstand of at least 45 seconds. As students progress, they will also learn techniques to balance on elevated canes including one arm levers {elbow blanche}, and freeholds on canes in multiple shapes. Additional conditioning drills give students the muscle control needed to sustain balance while inverted. At home training programs will be provided to supplement the program as students progress. Prerequisite Notes Students must be able to kick up to a handstand off the wall, with a freehold of at least 10 seconds. Hold against the wall (chest facing) for 120 seconds. This class is for the intermediate flexibility student ready to take their skill to the next level and higher-level students looking to supplement their training. Class will start with an intensive warm up and progress to extreme stretching & strength conditioning drills for the back, legs, hips and shoulders. Students will then learn various techniques to gain strength in their flexibility enabling them to continue learning contortion tricks with a safe and controlled body. Inter./Adv. Students will continue mastering more advanced moves with an emphasis on finding control and strength within their flexibility, utilising handstand based positions. Prerequisite Notes: - We recommend all students attend a handstand class or strength & flex class to supplement their training. CIRCUS FOR A DAY! Fantastic Flyers + Amazing Acrobats - Thursday 18th of April
Run away to the circus for a week! Experience a full day training like a circus acrobat!! Hone your skills in your Fantastic Flyers and Amazing Acrobats classes, training 9.30am - 3.30pm! Parents are welcome to come and take photos at the end of the day! :) ‘Fantastic Flyers’ focuses on Aerial Silk, Trapeze and Aerial Hoop skills in the air, for those that love to climb this is a great way to build strength and confidence in the air, over a 3 hour session. 'Amazing Acrobats’ is a great introduction to circus, where your child can try their hand at everything from juggling and hula hoop to handstands, partner acrobatics/pyramids, tight wire, mini tramp, silk and more over 3 hours.

Tiny Circus Leaping Lions 5-7yrs
'Leaping Lions' is a great intro to circus for your little one, aged 4.5-6.5yrs. Try juggling, hula hoop, walk the tightwire, jump on the mini tramp and hang on the silk or trapeze over 1.5hrs! These play-based sessions are a mix of games, obstacle courses and real circus tricks! The skills we do in circus are great for early childhood development: physical, neural and social. All our Tiny Circus classes are run without parental involvement, inviting children to take a tiny step into independence in a safe, extra-fun environment. The sessions are a lovely introduction for tiny people to the world of structured learning and are especially benificial for kids in the years before they begin school. The age requirement in the 3 year old class is that participants have turned 3 before the start of the term. Similarly participation in the 5 year old class requires children to have turned 5 before the start of term.
