Experience Level: Coach recommendation is required to gain entry to this class, unless a sub junior AAA course has been completed prior & the following skills achieved with good presentation. - SILK - Must be able to complete 2x climbs in a row, french & russian. Must be able to straddle back in the air 2x. Footlock both feet in the air, at an even height with ease. Hiplock from the floor. Catchers wrap in the air is preferred but not essential. - TRAPEZE - Must be able to lift legs to the bar straight, in straddle or pike. 15sec knee hang. Gazelle. Catchers. Straddle balance. Increase your total body strength and flexibility through a range of static, dynamic and weighted mobility exercises. Special emphasis will be placed on achieving front split and middle split while increasing upper back and shoulder strength and flexibility, to assist with handstands, tumbling, aerial and other circus skills. Experience Level: No experience necessary. We scale our exercises/progressions to suit each students individual capabilities, addressing strength and mobility deficits to build strong foundations.

Aerial Specialty class for Advanced aerial athletes only. Experience Level: Invitation Only. Please see Rosa to Audition. Limited places. These drills will change every 4 weeks, so make sure you stay up to date. Students of this class are encouraged to share knowledge with other participants, and learn each apparatus, although they will be focusing on their main specialty in the class itself. Students in this class will be expected to perform at corporate events throughout the year if requested. Strength & flex must be taken directly prior to this class. Choreography will be done outside of class time.

Hand balancing - Advanced
Advanced Handstand class. Pre req: Invitation Only. Handstand 3/4 Strength & Flex Students build on skills learned in Handstand 4, Senior AAA classes to find their correct alignment, balance and control while in a handstand, to improve their freehold handstand above 45 seconds. With teacher spotting, students continue work on “press ” handstands, as well as start work on 1 arm handstands. Work will continue on varied handstand positions (diamond, straddle, side touches, split press, hollowback etc) while retaining control of their balance, working to achieve a freehold handstand of at least 1 minute. As students progress, they will continue work on elevated canes including one arm levers {elbow blanche}, lower downs to elbow planche, and connecting multiple sequences in freehold. Additional conditioning drills give students the muscle control needed to sustain balance while inverted. At home training programs will be provided to supplement the program as students progress. Prerequisite Notes Straight freehold of at least 40 seconds is required for entry to this class. Hold against the wall (chest facing) for at least 2.5 minutes Basic body awareness and fit level. 2min dish hold. Tuck , straddle, pike to handstand. 20m + handstand walk. If you do not have previous handstand experience or can't yet do a handstand, Handstand 3 / Strength & Flex should be taken prior to this class. This is currently our most elite tumbling class. Athletes will focus on perfecting body form and height of the layout, Back handspring & tucks/saults. Once layout is achieved with correct form and height, athlete will be taught the proper form and technique of full twisting skills and beyond. Foot Juggling
Most people have seen a person juggling some collection of objects at some time of their life whether it was on television, in a circus or somewhere else. The art of juggling is not an easy one and not everyone can learn to do it with equal skill. Like most performing arts it takes an equal amount of raw talent and skill with regular practice. But what is even more amazing is the art of foot juggling where the person balances and juggles a collection of objects – pipes, balls, parasols, even suitcases!– on their feet and manages to keep them aloft. Pre req: - This class is open to levels beginner to advanced, however it is by application only. The art of foot juggling is not taught many places in Australia, and we want the students we share it with to be truly dedicated about learning the skill to a high level, not just a passing hobby. - Passion & dedication to learn foot juggling . - 1 year commitment. - Strength & Flex class is compulsory in addition to this class.

This 60 Minute class is for the advanced flexibility student ready to take their skill to the next level and higher-level students looking to supplement their training. Class will start with an intensive warm up and progress to extreme stretching & conditioning drills for the back, legs, hips and shoulders. Students will then learn various techniques to gain strength in their flexibility enabling them to continue learning contortion tricks with a safe and controlled body. Inter./Adv. Students will continue mastering more advanced moves with an emphasis on finding control and strength within their flexibility, utilising handstand based positions. Prerequisite Notes: - HANDSTAND CLASS - STRENGTH & FLEX CLASS Handstand Freehold 10s + Walkover Comfortable in both full splits and center straddle. Elbow stand 30sec + Chest stand. Being able to go from standing to their bridge and back up to standing. Students are required to have a familiarity with stretching either through gymnastics, circus or dance. Risley/Icarian Games - Advanced
Ridley, also known as Icarian Games, is an ancient discipline of the circus arts rarely seen in today's contemporary circus culture. In this spectacular display of human juggling, the human body becomes catapult and catcher in an elaborate, explosive and highly choreographed presentation of strength, balance and agility. In simple terms, in this class our students juggle people(flyers) on their feet! Experience Level: Invitation Only This is an intermediate/Advanced class. Students of this class must be enrolled in Strength & Flex & Handstand. It is also recommended flyers of this class are enrolled in a tumbling class, and a partner acrobatic class.

Students build on skills learned in Handstand 2, inter AAA (& higher level Junior) classes to find their correct alignment, balance and control while in a handstand, to improve their freehold handstand above 15 seconds. With teacher spotting, students continue work on “press ” handstands, as well as varied handstand positions (diamond, straddle, side touches, split press etc) while retaining control of their balance, working to achieve a freehold handstand of at least 45 seconds. As students progress, they will also learn techniques to balance on elevated canes including one arm levers {elbow blanche}, and freeholds on canes in multiple shapes. Additional conditioning drills give students the muscle control needed to sustain balance while inverted. At home training programs will be provided to supplement the program as students progress. Prerequisite Notes - STRENGTH & FLEX CLASS Students must be able to kick up to a handstand off the wall, with a freehold of at least 10 seconds. Hold against the wall (chest facing) for 120 seconds. In this class, athletes will focus on perfecting body form and height of the handspring, in addition to other skills such as the side aerial and front sault. They will also work on connecting skills such as handsprings, walkovers, cartwheels & side aerials. Athlete will start working on spotted back hand springs and back & front saults. This is a 60 minute class of partner acrobatics technique essentials for the basing and flying acrobats of Geelong!
