Black lycra singlet top leotard, black bike pants and black jazz shoes. Hair should be done in a high ponytail.

Open class work for Intermediate Foundation (and Intermediate) level students (11-13yrs). This class aims to teach the vocabulary required for the unseen enchainments given in RAD vocational level exams, but is also open to students wishing to continue ballet but not entering for exams.

Uniform - Own choice of leotard and optional chiffon skirt, pink ballet tights and ballet flats.

(3 1/2 to 5 year olds, 1 class/week) A 1/2 hour class which uses imagination, props and interesting music, while starting to think about line, shapes, rhythms, patterns and use of space. This class prepares the building blocks for RAD Pre Primary in a fun and friendly atmosphere. Parents/Caregivers are welcome to stay and observe.

Uniform requirements: The children may wear anything they would like to and are able to move freely in. Ballet shoes are a bonus but are not compulsory.

Girls – Lavender leotard and chiffon skirt. Pink ballet socks and pink ballet shoes with elastic.
Boys – Well fitted white t-shirt and black ballet shorts (loose fitting style). White socks and white ballet shoes.

(6 years by 1st September, 1x 1 hour class/week) Preparing students for their first ballet exam. They learn a dance to perform in pairs which children really enjoy. The RAD syllabus promotes musicality, the early foundations of classical ballet and the opportunity to perform all their hard work.

Uniform requirements:
Boys – Well fitted white t-shirt and black ballet shorts (loose fitting style). White socks and white ballet shoes.
Girls – Lavender leotard and chiffon skirt. Pink ballet socks and pink ballet shoes with elastic.

Stretch & Strengthen (9-11yrs, Thursday, Worser Bay LSC, Seatoun)
30min class/week for young dance students aged 8-11yrs. Based on Movitae dance pilates strengthening and stretching exercises. Highly recommended for Grade 3 ballet and above, and other dance genre students who are serious about achieving their full potential. This class is a chance for teachers to address individual students flexibility and strengthening areas. We will be using some basic equipment such as mats & bands which will be provided.

Fees are $60.00 as an add on class (otherwise the single 3/4 hour class fee of $140 applies).

Students broaden their vocabulary with exercises and dances that contain multiple components and are studied in detail before putting together.

Uniform requirements:
Girls – WBS navy blue leotard and waist elastic, 'flesh' ballet tights, pink ballet flats with elastics. WBS Character skirt with white, light blue and royal blue ribbons (note- I am phasing out the burgundy ribbons on character skirts to keep the same one through Grades 1-4). NO character shoes at this level for girls, we study the tarantella danced in flats).
Boys – White short-sleeved leotard, navy blue stirrup tights. White socks, white ballet shoes and black character shoes.

RAD Intermediate Foundation Level 1 (Tuesday & Friday Worser Bay LSC)
(11 yrs by 1st September, 2x classes/week)
IF Level 1 - is for students who studied Grade 4 in 2019. One joint class with IF2 students and 1x separate class.
They will begin studying the basic Intermediate Foundation vocabulary towards sitting the exam mid 2021 (no exam in 2020) however we will do an informal presentation of their work for family and friends at the end of Term 3.
IF1 students must register for Friday's follow on Pre Pointe class and also consider attending the Monday open class.
Students at this level are studying and expanding their classical technique, musical interpretation and performance quality.

Uniform requirements:
Girls – WBS black singlet top leotard and waist elastic, optional matching black chiffon skirt (not allowed in exams), ballet tights, pink ballet flats with ribbons.
Boys – White short-sleeved leotard, navy blue stirrup tights. White socks, white ballet shoes and character shoes.

A 25min parent and child class for 2-3 year olds. Based around nursery rhymes and songs to introduce children to dancing with a teacher in a class environment. Tippy Toes encourages confidence in participation and builds basic motor movements with lots of fun through use of props and we always have 'thank you' stickers at the end of class.

Uniform requirements:
The children can wear any thing they would like to and are able to move freely in. Ballet shoes are optional.
