Natural motor movements using varied types of music, imagination, expression and props in a relaxed and fun atmosphere. Parents/Caregivers must stay for each class duration. The emphasis is on participation and fun!

Uniform requirements:
The children may wear anything they would like to and are able to move freely in. Ballet shoes are a bonus but are not compulsory.

(6 years by 1st September, 1x 1 hour class/week) Students learn more formal training exercises and learn a dance to perform in pairs which children really enjoy. The RAD syllabus promotes musicality, the early foundations of classical ballet and the opportunity to perform all their hard work.

Uniform requirements:
Option A – Lavender leotard and chiffon skirt. Pink ballet socks and pink ballet shoes with elastic.
Option B – White t-shirt and black ballet shorts (loose fitting style). White socks and white ballet shoes.

Jazz Intro.4 (Monday, Worser Bay LSC)
8/9yr olds (1x1 hour class/week) - Jazz uses ballet technique basics as well as introducing jazz fundamentals such as body isolations etc. Students will study barre work, centre practice, jumps, and a build up a small dance sequence. Our jazz classes are geared to be age appropriate. We are proud to offer students exams in AJDANZ syllabus in 2019 and the class will be involved in the end of year production.

(4-5 year olds, 1x 1/2 hour class/week) Starting to think about line, shapes, rhythms, patterns and use of space. This class prepares the building blocks for RAD Pre Primary in a fun and friendly atmosphere. Parents/Caregivers must stay and observe for the duration of the class.

Uniform requirements:
The children may wear anything they would like to and are able to move freely in. Ballet shoes are a bonus but are not compulsory.

1x 1 hour class/week on Thursdays for Grade 1 RAD CLASS AWARD entry. Students will learn a Character Dance dance while developing the set ballet exercises required for the class award
Term fee $155.00

Option A – WBS white cap sleeved leotard and waist elastic, pink ballet socks and pink ballet shoes with elastic, WBS character skirt with white, light blue and royal blue ribbons and low heeled character shoes.

Senior Open Ballet Class (Wednesday, Worser Bay LSC)
Open class work for Intermediate Foundation (and Intermediate) level students (11-13yrs). This class aims to teach the vocabulary required for the unseen enchainments given in RAD vocational level exams, but is also open to students wishing to continue ballet but not entering for exams.

Uniform - Own choice of leotard and optional chiffon skirt, pink ballet tights and ballet flats.

Contemporary Open Class (Wednesday, Worser Bay LSC)
11+ yrs (1x 1hour class/week)
In open contemporary we will use simple combinations with a focus on where movements come from for good basic technique, study the use of breath, fall and catch etc. It is a great opportunity for students to expand their movement repertoire and compliments students ballet or jazz classes.

Uniform Requirements: Black below the knee leggings or bike pants and a WBS JCT-shirt ($27.50) available in our 'online store' in your parent portal, or at classes. Socks/bare feet as required by the teacher. Hair should be tied up out of the face.

RAD Intermediate Foundation (Tuesday & Thursday Worser Bay LSC)
(11 yrs by 1st September, 2x classes/week)
2x 1 1/2 hour classes/week. Tuesdays include pointe and Thursdays include Stretch & Strengthening (or vice versa). For those wishing to enter for the exam that is generally mid August to early September.
Students at this level are studying and expanding their classical technique, musical interpretation and performance quality.

Uniform requirements:
Option A – WBS black singlet top leotard and waist elastic, optional matching black chiffon skirt (not allowed in exams), ballet tights, pink ballet flats with ribbons.
Option B – White short-sleeved leotard, black stirrup tights. White socks, white ballet shoes.

Intermediate is for students who sat the Intermediate Foundation exam in 2020 or who are aged 13/14yrs.
They will sit the RAD Intermediate exam mid-late August.
I recommend that Intermediate students attend the Senior Open Class to learn the vocabulary needed for their exam unseen enchainement.

Uniform requirements:
Option A – WBS black singlet top leotard and waist elastic, optional matching black chiffon skirt (not allowed in exams), ballet tights, pink ballet flats with ribbons, black 1/2 tutu skirt.
Option B – White short-sleeved leotard, black stirrup tights. White socks, white ballet shoes.

Students broaden their vocabulary with exercises and dances that contain multiple components and are studied in detail before putting together.

Uniform requirements:
Option A – WBS navy blue leotard and waist elastic, 'flesh' ballet tights, pink ballet flats with elastics. WBS Character skirt with white, light blue and royal blue ribbons (note- I am phasing out the burgundy ribbons on character skirts to keep the same one through Grades 1-4). NO CHARACTER SHOES at this level for girls, we study the tarantella danced in flats).
Option B – White t-shirt or leotard and black ballet stirrup leggings. White socks, white ballet shoes and black character shoes.

Tippy Toes (2/3yrs, Saturday, Miramar Community Center)
(2-3 year olds, 1 class/week)
A 30min parent and child class for 2-3 year olds. Based around nursery rhymes and songs to introduce children to dancing with a teacher in a class environment. Tippy Toes encourages confidence in participation and builds basic motor movements with lots of fun through use of props and we always have 'thank you' stickers at the end of class.

Uniform requirements:
The children can wear any thing they would like to and are able to move freely in. Ballet shoes are optional.
