Enrollment requires up to 2 years of dance training or prior approval from teacher. Students will train at a beginner-intermediate level, learning ballet terminology and various movements by name and physical accuracy. On a weekly basis students will expand their knowledge and improve flexibility.

This fun and interactive class is built on the basic movements learned in the Pre-Ballet course. In this class, students will further their ballet knowledge through rehearsal of old and new basic ballet terminology and movement. First-time dancers are welcomed!

Hip-Hop requires students to have both strength and stamina to successfully perform movements. Therefore, class includes upper and lower body conditioning, and a rigorous warm-up to help prepare students for more intense movements.

​Pre-Pointe - 11+ years old - 50 minutes:

This class is dedicated to teaching pointe fundamentals and technical ability. One complete dance year of pre-pointe and a pointe evaluation is required before advancement to another pointe class.

The pointe evaluation allows the teacher an opportunity to gauge the student for areas of improvement. This evaluation focuses on legs (straightness and strength), feet (flexibility, strength, alignment, and shape), ankles (strength and straightness), and overall body alignment.

Dancers will be encouraged to step outside of the box by bringing their own individual style and personality to the movements. Hip-Hop dance requires students to have the strength and stamina to successfully perform moves. Therefore, class includes upper and lower body conditioning, as well as a rigorous warm-up to help prepare dancers for intense movements.

At this level, students will further their knowledge in ballet and begin to lay a proper Ballet foundation. Dancers will learn and remember basic ballet terminology and will began to execute the movement clearly.

Pre-Pointe/ Pointe
* Pointe technique is the part of classical ballet technique that concerns pointe work in which a ballet dancer supports all body weight on the tips of fully extended feet. A dancer is said to be en pointe when the dancer's body is supported in this manner, and a fully extended vertical foot is said to be en pointe when touching the floor, even when not bearing weight. Pointe work is performed while wearing pointe shoes, which employ structural reinforcing to distribute the dancer's weight load throughout the foot, thus reducing the load on the toes enough to enable the dancer to support all body weight on fully vertical feet.

​Pre-Pointe: This class is dedicated to teaching pointe fundamentals to students of the appropriate age and technical ability; because of the risk of injury, students must be physically ready. One complete dance year of pre-pointe and a pointe evaluation is required before advancement to pointe class. The pointe evaluation allows teachers and students the opportunity to see where the student needs work in order to prepare for pointe. The evaluation focuses on legs (straightness and strength), feet (flexibility, strength, alignment, and shape), ankles (strength and straightness), and overall body alignment.
