Pre-school dance classes introduce children to movement, music, and rhythm, as well as body discipline and awareness. The courses are designed to develop appropriate skills of the particular age groups. Emphasis is placed on fun and the development of positive self-esteem as the child enters one of their earliest classroom situations.

Contemporary dance is a genre of dance performance that developed during the mid-twentieth century and has since grown to become one of the dominant genres for formally trained dancers throughout the world, with particularly strong popularity in the U.S. and Europe.
Contemporary dance is a style of expressive dance that combines elements of several dance genres including modern, jazz, lyrical and classical ballet. Contemporary dancers strive to connect the mind and the body through fluid dance movements.

Dancers will learn proper technique, positions of the arms, legs, feet, head and trunk of the body. They will learn proper balance, both at the barre and in the center floor. This class will help develop strength in arms, back and leg movements. Students will also learn proper terminology.

Pee Wee Jazz
Pee Wee Jazz is an exciting introductory class that exposes kids to the fundamentals and technique of the Jazz genre. Students will learn terminology and styles, as well as develop coordination and self confidence through dance movement.

Beginning level ballet class designed to build knowledge of ballet technique and vocabulary. Class includes basic barre exercises and center floor practice, while building balance and flexibility using proper ballet positions and steps.

Strength and Conditioning
Conditioning is defined as a state of being physically fit so your body can safely perform the physical demands with least risk and possibility of injury. For dancers, body conditioning is all about working to tone and sculpt their muscles apart from, and over and above the dance movements.
The class is heavy in cardio to increase endurance for the dancer. The class includes several arms, abdominal, and leg exercises to strengthen the entire body with a strong focus on flexibility.
Equipment such as weights and bands are used.
This class is open to all dancers.
Dancers will improve their technique and performance in all dance methods by stimulating abdominal and back muscles, legs, arms and feet. Dancers will build stamina, as well as develop coordination, stability, balance and alignment as well as flexibility.

This class must be approved by the instructor.

Contemporary dance stresses versatility and improvisation, unlike the strict, structured nature of ballet. Contemporary dancers focus on floorwork, using gravity to pull them down to the floor. This dance genre is often done in bare feet. Contemporary dance can be performed to many different styles of music.

We strongly suggest for dancers to also take Ballet class as part of the contemporary training. Exceptiosn to this rule will need to be approve by our studio director.

Hip-Hop 1 is for dancers ages 8 and up younger dancers should register under the Jr. Hip-Hop class.
Hip-Hop 1 goes up to 5th grade.

We strongly recommend for students who want to enroll in Acrobatics 1 to enroll in other dance classes such as Jazz.
Acrobatics students are working towards their cartwheels, handstand, front and back walk over and ultimately there aerials. A strong focus is placed in strength and conditioning before any skills are introduced. A dancer will not be moved to a new level until he or she has master all basic elements of acrobatics.

We strongly recommend for students who want to enroll in Acrobatics 2 to enroll in other dance classes such as Jazz.
Acrobatics 2 students are working towards their, front and side aerials and tumbling passes. A strong focus is placed in strength and conditioning before any skills are introduced. A dancer will not be moved to a new level until he or she has master all basic elements of acrobatics.
