Pre-Show Pop-Up Class: The Four Seasons
Young people ages 3 - 7 are invited to join Ms. Sydney for a dance class under the spiral staircase in the Buddy Holly Hall Lobby from 7:00 - 7:15 pm April 13.
Ms. Sydney will take your young one through the different motifs of The Four Seasons and share things to look for in the choreography, helping them to stay engaged for the full performance. Each participant will also receive a coloring page, a small box of crayons, and a small toy to play with during the performance.

This class introduces the fundamentals of ballet in both an encouraging and disciplined atmosphere. Attention is paid to the basic positions, proper body alignment, and developing movement sequences through coordination of the arms and head. Helping the student to progress quickly to age appropriate goals, this class is perfect for the recreational dancer or the late starter. The instructor will evaluate when a student is ready to move into a school level if the student is interested in that goal. This class meets weekly.
*This class will not perform in The Nutcracker.

GOAL: To cultivate and bolster a love of choreography. Students will be encouraged to explore movement and choreographic concepts in order to create a dynamic "toolbox" of skills. The full journey of this process will take students' work from the studio to the stage.
CLASSES: Contemporary Ballet / Modern, Improvisation, Composition, Creative Discussion / Lecture.
This class is for dancers who took L5 - Company at Ballet Lubbock in the 2023 - 2024 season and dancers ages 13 - 24 as of May 1, 2023 outside of Ballet Lubbock.
