Family Dance
Children develop gross motor skills by exploring all the different ways their bodies can move! Movement experimentations will be fueled by stories, art, nature, props, science, emotions, music, and imagination. (Parents: be ready to move and get physical too!) Children need to be walking. Total annual tuition for the Spring Semester is $150, billed monthly January through May.

Ballet Essentials I
Students with NO previous dance experience register for BALLET ESSENTIALS I. This class introduces the fundamentals of ballet in both an encouraging and disciplined atmosphere. Attention is paid to the basic positions, proper body alignment, and developing movement sequences through coordination of the arms and head. Helping the student to progress quickly to age appropriate goals, this class is perfect for the recreational dancer or the late starter. Like all of our open classes, this class is subject to the needs of the overall attendees of each class. The instructor will evaluate when a student is ready to move into a school level if the student is interested in that goal. This class meets twice weekly. This class will participate in the school performance in the spring.* *This class will not perform in the Nutcracker.

Level 5 (Ages 10 -12) - Focus on foot work, stronger technique with longer combinations, use of the head and upper body, fluidity of port de bras as well as the intricacies of small and large jumps come into focus in this level. Training at this level becomes much more rigorous. Students are expected to make a commitment to their dance training. Class 3x a week - 90 minutes.

Apprentice & Company
Apprentice and Company - The most advanced dancers in the school. The Ballet Lubbock Company offers our students the opportunity to experience what it is like to be a professional dancer. As a company member, dancers learn to work in an environment with higher expectations and a more performance based setting than the average academy program. Students engage in rigorous rehearsals with the reward of year round performance opportunities. Technique and Pointe Class 4x a week - 90 minutes. Modern 1x a week - 90 minutes Rehearsals Thursdays and Saturdays. More rehearsals may be called.

Students must be proficient on pointe and committed to their ballet training. Students in this level are expected to understudy in called Company rehearsals. Students will develop and workshop their own choreography in a collaborative setting, with a presentation of completed works on Friday, June 14.
