A combination class offering beginning to intermediate level skills in Ballet and Tap technique. Dancers will work on focus, balance, flexibility, and technique.

Contemporary
Style of movements that consist of ballet, jazz, and modern. Students will learn improvisation. It is a very passionate class with fluid, sudden release, or abstract movements. In your movements you will extend your fingertips and toes as if you are reaching wall to wall, flowing while balancing, or pressing down into the ground.

There will be partnering and weight sharing exercises to help strengthen each muscle. Students will experience telling a story with movement in every combination or routine as they express God’s love to others.

CLASS UNIFORM:
T-shirt (purchased through DanzStar), black leggings, and bare feet. Hair pulled neatly out of face. BRING a bag and water bottle.

Junior Company
Our Petite Competition group is designed for the young dancer who loves to dance and wants to perform. This is our fourth year having a Junior Performance Group and we are so excited to see the little ones grow in strength, structure, and confidence while competing.

Dancers must be 5-8 to by June 1, 2023 to be able to audition for the team. The Junior Team may consist of younger dancers but they are still required to present discipline in and out of the classroom. They will have routines to rehearse at home and strengthening/conditioning to become stronger in the muscles and technique. They are required to attend practice every Tuesday at 4:30 - 5:30pm. Additional practice may be required when the team is close to competition dates. Audition fee is $25 to participate and will go towards our Administration fee and staff providing the great opportunity for our talented dancers.

No child is too small to audition and do not need extensive dance experience.

The student must have the ability to retain choreography and perform with energy and be self discipline to practice at home. After your child’s audition, you will receive an email if the student was placed on our awesome competitive team with a Parent Meeting scheduled to review the policies and procedures.

Audition fee is $25 to participate and will go towards our Administration fee and staff providing the great opportunity for our talented dancers.

Jazz I
Students will begin with a structured warm up to emphasize repetition and really get the dancers warm for every possible combination. They will then go through a light stretching regimen to increase flexibility.

We will work on different types of jazz styles from “sassy” jazz to musical theater to contemporary movements through the combinations taught in class. Students will also focus on some turning, leaps, and performance quality. As students progress through each level, they will be advanced to the next level.

This class allows each dancer to be introduced to dance through colors, rhythms, movement, and imagery. It is designed to develop each student social, comprehension, and teamwork skills. Children will focus on simple ballet and tap skills/combinations.

Adult Ballet & Contemporary
We are proud to welcome all ages and levels in our adult dance classes. Whether you have years of training or starting as a beginner, our classes will be taught a great pace to suite everyone's needs.

This is a great time to get your body moving and and learn some new moves while having a good time. Adult classes start every Tuesday, November 7that 7:30pm. If you not sure about the commitment, Drop in for a one time fee of $25. For the adults, who are ready to dance for the season, the monthly tuition will be $85 with no registration fee until December 1st.

CLASS UNIFORM
Fitted athletic wear such as a tank top and leggings. Traditional ballet clothing (leotard, tights, skirt) is allowed but not required. Canvas ballet shoes. Hair in bun or ponytail. Bring water!

Hip Hop dance requires each student to have high energy while using their upper and lower body strength. It helps with coordination, flexibility and balance. As each dancer develop difficult skills, they will progress to the next level. Looking for an upbeat, creative, and FUN class, join HIP HOP!

Learning proper technique such as isolations of the body, improving quality of movements and developing complex rhythms and patterns. Students will experience various styles of jazz such as Broadway and Contemporary to help develop them into a well-developed dancer.

Class curriculum is based on ballet technique with traditional jazz movement and includes a proper warm-up, stretches, across-the-floor, progressions, and combinations.

Ready Set Dance "Toddler" (Ages 2-4)
This class has the perfect music and choreography for our Preschool Dance classes.

The innovative program was designed specifically to introduce young children to the world of dance. Ready Set Dance offers much to support the play and learning of young children.

We have partnered with this awesome dance company who identified the gap in the market between the preschoolers and the other dancers.

Program is created by Early Learning Experts with a FUN filled hour.

CLASS UNIFORM:
Must be purchased through DanzStar.
Girls: Dance dress, wrap sweater, and leg warmers. Boys: T-shirt and mesh shorts.
Tights and ballet shoes are not required for class (but can be worn), but will be needed for Recital performances.

Star Company
Competition classes are available for student’s ages 8 – 18 years. This team is developed for discipline dancers seeking a progressive curriculum. Our Star Company also travels for their competition and travel fees will be reviewed with you prior to our competition season. An Audition and a technique class is required to be on our Competition before competing. Auditions will be held on June 24th and if you are interested past this date, please see our Director for more information.

Legos are a visual representation of pieces coming together to build something strong and beautiful. Each Lego piece has its own specific role which only it can serve. We will explore this concept through individual and team Lego activities, Bible study, teamwork games, and dance lessons.

Summer Dance Intensive
Calling all dancers who want to grow their technique!

This camp is an intensive training in all styles for dancers hoping to start the 2024-2025 season off with a BANG and improve technique, strength, and flexibility! REQUIRED for dancers auditioning for the 2024-2025 Competition Team. In addition to the DanzStar staff, we have some exciting surprise guest teachers on the schedule to help your dancer grow and reach their full potential!

Each evening will start with a warmup including strength training, cardio, and deep stretching. We will then focus on a different style of dance each night focusing on the unique techniques and qualities of that genre.
