Backhandspring & Back Tuck Workshop
Student will only be working on backhandspring drills, back tuck drills, and backhandspring/back tuck technique progressions to better perfect the skill you have.
Students must have a solid handstand that can be held for at least 4 seconds showcasing an hollow upside down position and a backbend in which both feet can jump off the floor at the same time.

Opening Number - Spring Recital
Opening Number is available to all students 3 and older enrolled in our Spring Recital. Your dancer will learn a routine and then perform it during their Spring Recital show. This number opens the entire show for each performance time. Your dancer will only perform it in their performance time (not all performance times).

Company Auditions
Company auditions are open to all dancers ages 6 and up. Dancers should wear pink tights, a leotard and bring shorts or leggings jazz and hip hop auditions. All dancers will audition in styles of Ballet, Contemporary, Jazz and Hip Hop. Additionally, dancers interested in tap and acro will be asked to demonstrate specific skills.
Dancers age 6-11 will audition 1-3:30pm
Dancers age 12-18 will audition 3:30-6pm
Dancers must attend auditions to be eligible for company.

Nationals schedules works like our regular competition schedules where you will be given a specific time of day to arrive and compete, stay for awards and then you can leave. You will have time to spend at the water park! Dancers must attend and support each other during the Social Media Challenges (worked into our schedule) and Individual contests. Other events are optional.
Dancers that sign up for nationals will automatically be entered for the competition in ALL their dances they perform for competition (groups, solos and duets if your partner also goes).

All guests must stay a minimum of three (3) nights in order to receive the discounted group rates above.
Guest Room rate will be valid until the cut-off Date: May 27, 2023, or until the block has filled. After the cut-off date, discounted rates are not available for any rooms added or adjusted.
Once the block is filled there is no guarantee Inferno can add additional rooms or get continued discounted rates.
CHANGES TO LENGTH OF STAY CAN BE MADE THROUGH May 27, 2023
Changes after that date will result in full room and tax charges for any dates dropped.
This is a Kalahari policy and Inferno cannot grant exceptions. Inferno does not guarantee final routine/competition schedule will be available by 5/27, but a schedule showing which sessions will occur on which dates will be available by the cut-off date and should be used to confirm booking dates.
You do not have to stay at Kalahari! There are also multiple resorts and hotels in the Dells that you could stay at and travel into Kalahari on your scheduled competition days/times.

AFTER SCHOOL PROGRAMS
IC Afterschool Spring Session March 6-May 15th
Dancers will meet in the front entrance lobby near the principals office. Miss Norah, your dance teacher will then escort you to the Parish Center where dancers will work on various styles of dance including ballet, jazz, hip hop and tumbling. In each of these styles, dancers will work on concepts such as spacial awareness, body awareness, motor skills, locomotive movement, choreography, improv and much more. Dancers will then be picked up outside the entrance to the Parish Center (the doors usually lock so you may not be able to come into the building until the teacher has brought the students over). If you child goes to aftercare, the teacher will then take those students to the aftercare center.

Acro Intensive 1 (July 10-13)
Acrobats will be split by skill level to work on Tumbling, Flexibility, Balancing, Strength Training and Acrobatics. Beginner acrobats should be new to acro or only be able to do cartwheels and handstands.
Intermediate acrobats should be able to do front and back walkovers.
Advanced acrobats should be able to do (or almost do) side aerials and backhand springs.
Ages 6-18
