As your pre-school aged dancer puts on her leotard and tights and walks into her first dance class, let the memories begin. As she makes new friends and learns her first French words, her world has opened up to the art of dance. This exciting class includes introduction to ballet and movement. Along with learning ballet basics and new dance terminology, this class will play with fun props that will improve their fine motor skills and gross motor skills. In addition to movement and social skills, little ones learn emergent performance skills and how to use movement and facial expression to tell a story. No experience necessary.

This class will learn and perform one (1) routine in our recital showcase. This class will order one (1) MSOD approved dance costume for the recital showcase. Prices are not yet available for costumes, but you will know as soon as I have all the information ready and available.

In January, you will need to put down a $50.00 costume deposit on her dance account. Once I see the inventory of available costumes the costume balance (the remaining amount due for the costume) will be placed on your dance account. You can pay the costume balance, you can size your dancer, and order her costume.

This class will need at least 12 dancers enrolled by December 15.

Good attendance (less than 4 absences per dance season) and dedication (can-do attitude) required. 6 or more absences in the dance season and / or 3 or more consecutive absences is considered excessive. Please note since this class is only meeting for half the dance season we need even less absences so dancers may adjust to the norms of the classroom as well as learn their routine efficiently.

Important MSOD Events and Dates
Picture Weekend: evening of Friday, March 1st or during the day of Saturday, March 2nd (closer to the event you can schedule an appointment for either day).
