Princess Ballet I (ages 3-5)
Each class begins by warming up our muscles, stretching and reviewing our ballet feet and arm positions during a circle warm-up. We practice our Princess Ballerina dance move (and review their fancy French names) like releve', plie' tendu and jete'. We travel to magical lands and pretend to be things like beautiful flowers, butterflies and of course princesses. Each month has a new theme such as Fairy Garden or Winter Wonderland. Each princess will need her own binder for her class. We give out charts to keep track of our progress, coloring pages that match our theme of the month. We also will have a Spotify (free online music library) where you can play the songs we use in class at home....for FREE! These playlists are also added each month with the theme.

Classes include across the floor sections, and choreography. Classes will encourage students to step outside of the box by bringing their own individual style and personality to the movements. Hip hop dance requires students to have the strength and stamina to successfully perform moves. Therefore, class includes upper and lower body conditioning as well as a rigorous warm-up to help prepare students for more intense movements.

Students will focus on ballet vocabulary, techniques and terminology, building strength, flexibility, class structure and control needed to execute ballet moves. Each class will emphasize barre’ exercises, correct posture, body positioning and may also include a combination of center floor work and across-the-floor combinations. Individual expression, musicality and the art of performance are highly encouraged at this level while growing the enjoyment of dance within the respect and discipline of classical ballet training. The ballet curriculum is based on a combination of the French, Vagonova and Cecchetti methods. As students’ progress through each level, the curriculum will become increasingly more complex and intricate.

A movement based class that focuses on sharp arm movements, execution of choreographic visuals and dance team/cheer skills. Dancers will learn fundamentals of Pom positions, performance skills and pushes dancers to expand on their high energy, entertainment skills.
Classes will encourage students to step outside of the box by bringing their own individual style and personality to the movements. Hip hop dance requires students to have the strength and stamina to successfully perform moves. Therefore, class includes upper and lower body conditioning as well as a rigorous warm-up to help prepare students for more intense movements.
