This a fun fast paced class teaching the athletes confidence and proper technique in Tumbling. This class will be in recital.

Hip hop is a high-energy class that infuses the latest styles of street dancing, breaking, popping, and locking. Classes will encourage students to step outside of the box by bringing their own individual style and personality to the movements. Hip hop dance requires students to have the strength and stamina to successfully perform moves. Therefore class includes upper and lower body conditioning as well as a rigorous warm-up to help prepare students for more intense movements.

Therefore class includes upper and lower body conditioning as well as a rigorous warm-up to help prepare students for more intense movements.

This class is for those beginner students with little to no dance experience. Remember, they will need instructor permission to move on to the next level.

Jazz- Introduces dancers to jazz. Students will learn counting, stretching, basic floor work, standing in line, and taking turns.

A rhythmic stylized dance conceived in America and influenced by jazz music. Jazz combines an erect spine and formal dance patterns of Europe with rhythmic, flat-footed, bent kneed influences from African cultures. Class starts with a proper warm-up, continues with isolations, balance, flexibility stretches, floor progressions, and choreography. Students should expect a high energy class with upbeat music with a strong emphasis on jazz technique.

Contemporary is the merging of ballet and jazz into one movement. It is a slightly faster pace than ballet but not as fast as jazz. Dancers will begin each class with an improv movement game followed by center and across the floor work. The class will conclude with a small combination in the center of the floor incorporating steps and movement learned throughout the class. Contemporary dance is a style of expressive dance that combines elements of several dance genres including modern, jazz, lyrical and classical ballet. Contemporary dancers strive to connect the mind and the body through fluid dance movements.

Jazz dance combines techniques of classical ballet and modern dance with the current forms of popular dance. Jazz also has its own movement vocabulary ranging from the isolation of certain body parts to the movement of the entire body with the accents of musical rhythms.

This class consist of training and proper technique to do Acrobatic Gymnastics. Acrobatic Gymnastics is Cirque du Soleil meets gymnastics floor routine. Athletes will learn how to do hand balancing and work with partners on building pyramids with their bodies. This is a fun fast paced class that teaches trust, team work, and perseverance while learning this fun form of gymnastics.
