Advanced Jazz/Contemporary
A style of dance the incorporates elements of ballet and modern with movement that is for expression of the dancers own body. This class has a strong focus on strength and flexibility through plies, extensions, etc. It will also include small acrobatic movements. The class begins with a warm up, moves to across the floor technique, and ends in a short combination (choreographed routine) that focuses on steps learned in the beginning of the lesson. This class will be in recital.

Jazz combines an erect spine and formal dance patterns of Europe with rhythmic, flat-footed, bent kneed influences from African cultures. Class starts with a proper warm-up, continues with isolations, balance, flexibility stretches, floor progressions, and choreography. Students should expect a high energy class with upbeat music with a strong emphasis on jazz technique.

Beginner/Intermediate Contemporary
Lyrical - Lyrical is a type of dance style that uses movement to tell the story behind the music. You will see that movements often match words or phrases within the lyrics of the song. Lyrical is the merging of ballet and jazz into one movement. It is a slightly faster pace than ballet but not as fast as jazz. Dancers will begin each class with an improv movement game followed by center and across the floor work. The class will conclude with a small combination in the center of the floor incorporating steps and movement learned throughout the class. Contemporary dance is a style of expressive dance that combines elements of several dance genres including modern, jazz, lyrical and classical ballet. Contemporary dancers strive to connect the mind and the body through fluid dance movements

Beginner Hip Hop
Hip hop is a high-energy class that infuses the latest styles of street dancing, breaking, popping, and locking. Classes will encourage students to step outside of the box by bringing their own individual style and personality to the movements. Hip hop dance requires students to have the strength and stamina to successfully perform moves. Therefore class includes upper and lower body conditioning as well as a rigorous warm-up to help prepare students for more intense movements.Tricking will be added to the end of the class. In tricking, you will learn, 6 step turns, freeze holds, and much more.

This class consist of training and proper technique to do Acrobatic Gymnastics. Acrobatic Gymnastics is Cirque du Soleil meets gymnastics floor routine. Athletes will learn how to do hand balancing and work with partners on building pyramids with their bodies. This is a fun fast paced class that teaches trust, team work, and perseverance while learning this fun form of gymnastics.

A movement based class that focuses on sharp arm movements, execution of choreographic visuals and dance team/cheer skills. Dancers will learn fundamentals of Pom positions, performance skills and pushes dancers to expand on their high energy, entertainment skills. Great class for dancers who are considering moving on to cheer/dance in a college setting. This class will also work on skills required for those college auditions.

Backbends, forward/backward rolls, handstands, ect. The class will work on using proper progressions and good technique to build confidence in ones self and their abilities. This a fun fast paced class that any little one will enjoy. This class will run in an 8 week session and they will learn an Acro Routine. This class will have a competition on the last week of class on November 22nd where they will show their routine. Cost of class includes leotard, 8 weeks of class, competition cost, and medal/ribbon at competition. Acro Shoes additional $15.00 but required for class.
