Traditional Step Dance - Junior
Traditional step dance is a Celtic dance form that is at the root of tap dance. Primarily danced to fiddle or pipe music, it uses intricate footwork and musicality to highlight the rhythmic patterns in the music.

Originating from France, this style was popular among Acadian families and was often a main event during kitchen parties. Thanks to contributions of many dancers such as Anne-Marie Comeau who received the Order of Canada for her work refining the dance style, Acadian Stepdance has become recognized as an art form performed not only in the kitchen, but for audiences worldwide.

Acro - Junior 1
Our fastest growing dance program, acro is a blend of dance technique with acrobatic tricks such as handstands, aerials, cartwheels, rolls and tumbling following the ADTA syllabus. In this class, students learn the techniques needed to perform their acro tricks safely and properly and build strength and flexibility. The moves taught in class progress at the pace of each individual student.

This is intended to be a full year program, where each student is supported in reaching the goals needed to move to Acro - Junior 2.

All acro dancers are given the option to perform in the recitals, however it is not required. To perform, dancers will need to register for the Acro Performance Class as well.
