Dance Focus: Nutcracker and the Four Realms
Ages 4-7 Young movers will explore creative movement through the story of the Nutcracker! We will incorporate elements of the classic ballet as well as the new "Nutcracker and the Four Realms" movie. Students will learn how to tell a story without using words, and will also be instructed in basic jazz and ballet technique (but encouraged to discover their own movement as well!). Learning performance for parents on the final day of class.

Grades 8th-12th This class will rehearse Beauty and the Beast: The Musical. Students will work on character development, advanced choreography, and music leading up to a final performance weekend on stage. Extra Saturday rehearsals will be required as we get closer to the show. All students welcome! The fall production will be performed January 24th-26th, 2020.

Stagelights lessons are age-appropriate, and they explore all elements of the dramatic arts—characterization, improvisation, creative movement, puppetry, vocal technique, comedic timing, blocking, personal confidence, costume, scenery and much more, all while having FUN! Each child will be cast in a “learning performance”—costumes, sets, lines—and get a chance to show off their acting skills! The Performance will be held the last day of class, on November 12, 2019 at 3:30pm.

Ages 13+. An important training class for actors that will teach them how to involve their bodies when developing their character, as well as how to approach musical theater dance without feeling intimidated. Students will learn how to properly warm-up their bodies before shows, how to show reactions and emotions without using words, and how to break movement habits to allow their bodies to transform into different characters! Learning performance for parents on the final day of class.
