This class would focus on aerials, handsprings and a few other advanced tumbling and acrobatic tricks. Anyone who has a strong cartwheel on 1 or both sides and/or can hold a bridge (with straight arms) would qualify. Able to do a backbend and/or bridge recover (stand up from a bridge) would be a plus but not required.

Dance for Fitness
A fun cardio workout that incorporates basic dance steps and continuous movement in easy-to-follow choreography set to popular music. It's an opportunity to perform with every song. As a dancer, you can build strength, stamina, and the ability to pick up choreography. This class is for fun and fitness. 45 minutes of energetic dance routines followed by 15 minutes of stretching. You can sign up as a regular student or as a drop in, where you will pay as you go.

Tues Preschool Hip Hop /Acro
Preschool Hip-Hop / Acro is a one-hour high-energy dance class that focuses on body awareness, strength, and musicality. Students will learn basic hip hop / jazz moves as well as basic acrobatic skills. This class is intended for students ages 4 to 6, and students must be potty trained. Students should wear sneakers and comfortable clothes to move in.

Contemporary 3
Contemporary 3 is a one-hour class focuses on improvisation, Horton, Graham, Dunham, and safety release techniques. It is designed to complement the broader dance curriculum by increasing bodily awareness and improvisational skills. Students must be enrolled in Level 4 or above. Contemporary 2 students must be evaluated and recommended by their teacher to enroll. New students will be evaluated by our staff to be placed in this class. Students can wear dance socks, half-shoes, foot undies or bare feet. A leotard & tights or comfortable clothing that is easy to move in and allows the instructor to see body placement are appropriate attire. (May be combined with Contemporary 2 if enrollment dictates)

Toddler Ballet-Tumble-Tap
Toddler Ballet-Tumble-Tap is a one-hour class that focuses on basic ballet, tap, and tumbling skills. Through these skills, students will learn body awareness, musicality, and gross motor skills. Each class will contain 20 minutes each of ballet, tap, and tumbling. Students should have pink ballet shoes, black tap shoes, and wear comfortable clothes that are easy to move in or a leotard and tights. This class is intended for students ages 3 (as of July 5) to 4, and students must be potty trained.

Hip Hop 1
Hip Hop 1 is aimed at students in Levels 1 & 2 or beginner students ages 6 to 12 (starting in first grade). Using a fusion of jazz, funk, and hip hop, Hip Hop 1 will focus on choreography and performance as well as technical components of this very popular dance style. Students will learn the basics of hip hop and will improve their spatial awareness, musicality, and strength in this high energy class. Students should wear sneakers and comfortable clothing that is easy to move in.

Intermediate Ballet Technique
Intermediate Ballet Technique is a one-hour class aimed at both kids and adults who are typically in our Level 3, Level 4, or Adult 2 classes. This class features extensive barre and center floor work intended to strengthen crucial ballet technique. Students should wear either a leotard & tights or comfortable clothing that is easy to move in and allows the instructor to see body placement. Ballet shoes or jazz slip on shoes are used. If you are new to our studio, please contact us directly to be evaluated and placed into this class. Level 4 students should contact their instructor in regards to placement.

Adult 1
Adult 1 (formerly Beginner Adult) includes 1 hour of ballet, 30 min of jazz, and 30 min of tap. This class is for adult students who have never danced before or have not danced in a long time. Students should wear either a leotard and tights or comfortable clothing that is easy to move in and allows the instructor to see body placement. The shoes needed for this class are ballet slippers, jazz shoes, and tap shoes. NOTE: If you are new to our studio, please sign up for this class, regardless of your dance background. You must be evaluated by one of our teachers to sign up for Adult 2 or Adult 3.

This class focuses on classic tap combinations such as time steps, Condo rudiments, & the Shim Sham, as well as an introduction to skills such as pick ups, wings, and riffs. Students should wear either a leotard & tights or comfortable clothing that is easy to move in and allows the instructor to see body placement as well as flat Oxford tap shoes or heeled tap shoes. If you are new to our studio, please contact us directly to be evaluated and placed into this class. Level 4 students should contact their instructor in regards to placement.

Level 1 Ballet-Jazz-Tap
Level 1 is a 90-minute class that includes ballet, jazz, & tap, and it is designed for beginner students. This class is appropriate for students who have either completed our pre-school curriculum or are brand new dancers in grades 1 to 4 (in the 2022 - 2023 school year). Students should bring pink ballet shoes and black slip-on "Mary-Jane" style tap shoes, and they should wear either a leotard and tights or comfortable clothes that are easy to move in and allow the teacher to see the student's body placement.

Acro 2 is a one-hour class for more experienced acro students. Dancers will learn tumbling skills and develop strength, flexibility and balance. Students with no acro or tumbling experience must get approval from the teacher through an evaluation. Students previously enrolled in Acro 2 should sign up for this class. Students should wear a leotard & tights or comfortable clothing that is easy to move in or allows the instructor to see body placement. Acro is done in bare feet.

Beginner Dance for Theater
This jazz and tap combo class is aimed at middle and high school students interested in musical theater who need a beginner level class. Those entering grades 6 - 12 in the fall of 2024 are eligible (younger students should take Level 1 and adult students should take Adult 1). In this class, students will learn the basics of tap and musical theater jazz, with additional emphasis on character, performance, and audition preparation. Students are expected to have jazz shoes and tap shoes (heels or Oxfords), and they should dress in comfortable clothes that are easy to move in. This class is offered in our summer session only.

Pre-Pointe/ Pointe
This class is designed to prepare individuals to dance in pointe shoes. Dancers registered for this class must be 11 years of age or older and must be enrolled in and regularly attending at least 1 ballet technique class per week. Consistency in attending both ballet and pre-pointe classes is necessary to build the skills and strength necessary to dance in pointe shoes. This class will focus on the strength and alignment of the core, hips, legs, ankles, and feet. Exercises will be performed at the barre as well as center floor to help build strength, turnout, and balance. Ballet shoes are required, though many exercises will be done in bare feet. Thera-bands are also required for these classes, as well as for at-home exercises to be practiced between classes. Assessment for pointe readiness will be conducted by the teacher/s on an individual basis.
