Jazz is one of the most enjoyable dance forms that your child can take. Your child will be learning different combinations, exploring different styles of music, figuring out how to express their emotions, and so much more in this dance class.
While jazz music is great to listen to, it’s even better to dance to! Our dance classes emphasize musicality and coordination, body alignment, rhythm, and stylization. Jazz uses bold, dramatic movements including body isolation's and contractions. By following their teacher’s instructions, they will be enhancing their ability to listen and follow what they are told. They will be learning proper dance technique such as isolation's of the body, improving performance quality and developing rhythms and patterns. If they have just begun their dancing career, they’ll learn that the more attentive they are, the better they will become, and this will help with their self-confidence as well. Our class curriculum is based on ballet technique layered with traditional jazz movement and includes a proper warm-up, stretches, isolation's, across-the-floor progressions, combinations and choreography.
