Creative Movement
Six Week Creative Movement classes are designed for students ages 2-3.5 years. This class has a maximum student enrollment of 10 students. The teacher/student ratio is 1/3. The instruction for this class is based on creative play and activities related to increasing coordination, motor skills development, classroom etiquette, and peer socialization. Students should wear comfortable clothing allowing for movement. Clean tennis shoes or socks are suggested footwear.

Pre-Level Ballet/Tap
This is an introductory level class recommended for ages 3 - 5 or any student with 0 - 1 year of experience. Class will focus on basic ballet and tap skills, terminology, rhythm, and coordination. Students will learn the basics of counting to music and class etiquette, while learning to share their dancing and creativity in a safe place among peers. Ballet concepts include turn out, basic positions, coordination, spatial awareness. Tap concepts include basic steps, rhythmic patterns, and directional awareness. Students will be introduced to general studio etiquette and growth mindset strategies.

This is an advanced-beginner level class recommended for students ages 7 – 12 or any student with 3 – 6 years of experience. Class will focus on positions of the arms, direction of the body and increased movement vocabulary. Students will be introduced to adagio and allegro exercises.

This is an introductory level class recommended for students ages 4 – 7 or with 0 – 1 year of experience. Class will focus on basic motor control, balance, body tension, and basic tumbling skills. Elements of this class include warm up, acrobatic drills, conditioning, and stretching. Students will work on rolls, cartwheels, bridges, and basic headstand and handstands. In order to graduate from Pre-Level Acro, students must demonstrate mastery of the skills practiced in class.

This is an advanced-beginner level class recommended for students ages 7 – 13 or with 2 – 5 years of experience. Class will train dancers to execute the showy or athletic elements of dance. At this level, students will work to master beginner skills and be introduced to intermediate skills through conditioning, progressions, and flexibility training. Proper form of previously practiced skills is required to take this class. Students will work to master skills on both legs.
• Difficulty: Advanced-Beginner
• Pre-Requisite Skills: chaine turns, double pirouettes, grande jete, center leaps, jete attitude, axels, stationary leg hold

This is an intermediate level class recommended for students ages 10+ or with 4+ years of experience. Class will train dancers to execute the showy or athletic elements of dance. Students will refine previously taught skills and be introduced to advanced skills through conditioning, progressions, and flexibility training. Proper form of previously practiced skills is required to take this class. Students will work to master skills on both legs.

• Pre-Requisite Skills: triple pirouettes, calypsos, firebirds, ring leaps, a la seconde mechanics, tilt, needle, single leg hold turn
