Incorporation of all previous levels with the addition of new ballet vocabulary. Students will be introduced to pre-pointe this year and focus on developing strength through age appropriate exercises that target the muscles of the calves, ankles and feet in order to prepare them for pointe work as they advance during the year. Pointe work is introduced to those students who demonstrate sufficient strength. Exercises will be skill and level appropriate. In order to progress, it is recommended that students attend three ballet classes per week and supplement with additional classes in other dance forms.

Students must turn 11 by September and have completed at least 1 year of Level 4 or equivalent. Please see Director for proper class placement.

Winter Wonderland Rehearsal & Performance Registration

Level 2 dancers are encouraged to participate in the January 27th Winter Wonderland Performance. The showtime is 3:00pm.
Students will learn and rehearse their dance during a portion of their regularly scheduled class time on Mondays and Thursdays. Students who attend class once a week will be set in choreography that is taught on the day they attend. Students who attend twice a week will be set in the entire piece. I strongly suggest adding the extra class during the rehearsal process, as this gives students more stage time, greater mastery of the choreography, and increased confidence. I am happy to pro-rate the tuition for the added class. In addition to the weekly rehearsals, ALL students will be required to attend 2 extended class rehearsals on Thursday, January 18th 5:30-7:00pm and Thursday, January 25th 5:30-7:00pm. A FULL cast dress rehearsal will take place Friday, January 26th 4:00-7:00pm at the Clinton Town Hall.
