10 years and older Ballet Pre-Pointe Work
Pre-point classes are offered to ballet students who are not yet on pointe to further develop and strengthen the muscles necessary to go en pointe. Pre-pointe classes stress correct alignment and correct classical ballet technique. Pre-pointe classes also allow teachers to assess readiness, offering an atmosphere for proper evaluation of important skills.

Ballet is the foundation of dance; every dance form uses ballet positions and vocabulary. Ballet classes are progressive classes that move slowly to learn and develop proper technique. These classes will follow a format of a classical ballet class to include basic barre exercise and center practice. Dancers will also practice skills and combinations traveling across the floor.

Hip Hop is a blend of modern and contemporary dance styles, performed to current day popular music and beats.Hip hop dance requires students to have the strength and stamina to successfully perform moves. Therefore class includes upper and lower body conditioning as well as a rigorous warm-up to help prepare students for more intense movements. A great class for students interested in trying out for their school pom team.

Pom is the mix of jazz dance and cheer, which requires strong dance technique as well as athleticism for precise movement. This is the 5-9 year old competitive division of our studio. Dancers compete in local competitions and perform for local civil groups and organizations. Enrollment is by invitation only. We do accept transfers from other studios, but the student must first be evaluated by the studio owner. Attire to be worn is leotard, tights, fitted tanks/camisoles/t-shirts, bra tops, jazz pants, or dance shorts. Shoes need to be split-sole jazz shoes or turners unless told otherwise by the instructor.

This is a classical dance form demanding grace and precision and employing formalized steps and gestures set in intricate, flowing patterns to create expression through movement. We do a combination of a few different ballet schools of study. Ballet is the basis of many of the dance genres we offer and fantastic for poise and discipline. It is necessary for a strong technical foundation. Attire to be worn is ballet shoes, leotard of any color, and tights.

This type of dancing is energetic and fun, consisting of unique moves, fancy footwork, big leaps and quick turns. It uses faster paced, upbeat music. There are very many different forms of jazz that branch out into lyrical, contemporary, and musical theatre. Attire to be worn is leotard, tights, fitted tanks/camisoles/t-shirts, bra tops, jazz pants, or dance shorts. Shoes need to be split-sole jazz shoes.

This is a form of dance where the dancer supports all their body weight on the tips of fully pointed and extended feet in special Pointe shoes. Students may only do Pointe at 12 years old or older, after taking at least 3 years of ballet. Students must be enrolled in Cecchetti class simultaneously. Enrollment requires instructor permission after examination of student. Required attire: pointe shoes, leotard of any color, and tights.
