An introductory Musical Theatre class for your Broadway Bound Star! Broadway MiniStars is for our youngest singers (ages 3-4) and dancers. If your child loves to sing and dance in the living room this class is for them. Students will learn songs and choreography as well as develop physical motion, rhythm, and coordination. Broadway MiniStars helps introduce children to body awareness, coordination, flexibility and musicality through age appropriate exercises and creative movement. Children are encouraged to explore their own creative expression of music and dance movement. This class provides a fun and playful experience while introducing children to the social skills of group dynamics, self-control, listening, respect for themselves and others, and boosts their confidence and self-esteem!

Pre-Dance Combo (Jazz, Ballet, Tap)
Pre-Ballet/Tap Class is an introduction to the basics using methods designed for young imaginative minds and bodies. Students are given the opportunity to move, stretch, and improve self-confidence while being introduced to basic ballet and tap concepts, body alignment, posture, balance, locomotor skills, as well as develop self-expression through creative movement. These classes emphasize proper placement, vocabulary, etiquette, as well as tap and ballet-based improvisation.

Ballet 1 (ages 8 and up)
This introductory class begins with exercises at the barre to warm, stretch and strengthen muscles, practice proper body placement, and build technique. Across the floor and center work follows, emphasizing the techniques practiced at the barre.

Contemporary II
Contemporary class uses the technical foundations studied in ballet, modern and jazz classes to develop deeper musicality and expressiveness in movement. Emphasis is placed on how each individual communicates through the movement, creating their artistic voice. Contemporary allows for a wide range of music choices and dance vocabulary. Continued attention on technique will allow each individual to grow as a dancer. *INSTRUCTOR APPROVAL REQUIRED*

Ballet II
Audition required for placement in this class. This intermediate ballet class builds on the technique and concepts learned in Ballet I focusing on terminology, proper alignment, turn out, posture, combinational execution, musicality, and graceful power.

Pointe
Pointe Class is designed for students ages 11 and up and can be taken on flat or in pointe shoes at the instructors discretion. All pointe classes are designed for students with previous ballet training. Students will utilize previously learned ballet technique while working in pointe shoes. Each class includes barre exercises, center floor work and across the floor combinations. These exercises focus on strengthening the feet and ankles. Dancers must have instructor approval for this class and must be enrolled in an additional ballet class.

Through center warm-ups, across the floor and various combinations, set to a variety of fun, upbeat music, students will explore jazz, by learning fundamental steps and stylization.

Through a series of center exercises and progressions across the floor students will learn fundamental tap technique and terminology, rhythm and musicality, as well as develop correct body placement.

Jazz 3
Jazz III requires the foundational skills established in JAZZ I and II. A prior understanding of technique, vocabulary and musicality will allow dancers in Jazz III to focus on their growth in these areas. Dancers will be introduced to more advanced combinations across the floor and rhythmically challenging choreography to a variety of musical theatre and jazz songs.

Tap 3
Students in Tap III are introduced to more complex rhythms, dynamics and musicality, learning how to break down and combine rhythms while strengthening their footwork. Focus is on clarity of sounds, understanding rhythms, increasing speed and developing style- all with a continued emphasis on proper technique and terminology.

StarStruck’s most popular class for over 20 years! This class is perfect for the musical theatre "Star-To-Be." This energized performance class combines acting, singing and dancing so that your young star learns the skills to become a "ShowBiz Triple Threat." Our StarStruck Team will teach a multitude of skills using Broadway Showtunes from various musicals. These classes perform several numbers in StarStruck's annual ShowCase and is the perfect "prep class" for StarStruck's Award Winning Musical Theatre Show Programs! Peter Jones will emphasize proper vocal technique and "acting the song" while Leah Landau will work on exploring song interpretation. This class will also include learning successful audition techniques and building the foundation to become a triple threat.

Technical Theatre (Ages 9 and up)
Lights, Camera, Action! StarStruck's tech class is perfect for someone who is looking to work behind the purple curtain. StarStruck Alum, Zack Hellings, will teach Audio, Video and Lighting for theatre and beyond! This weekly class is the perfect way to become more than just a triple threat on the stage, it will create a triple threat off the stage as well! Every student will get a chance to be hands-on with the equipment! StarStruck provides everything the students will need to be successful-just bring a notebook and pencil. Students will learn about Audio, Video and Lighting by receiving hands-on-training -how to EQ, what a compressor is and does, what an audio gate is, is every soundboard the same? How does the lighting console work, what is DMX, what's the difference between 5-Pin and 3-Pin DMX, how do you design a lighting show? How do I livestream from my camera, what is SDI? The list goes on and on! This class ends for the semester on May 1st!

Acting is SO MUCH FUN. Plays, musicals, tv shows, movies, and TV commercials! Learning the basics will lay the groundwork for a positive relationship with the theatre. Acting 1 begins with a TON of FUN Improv Games, Teamwork Exercises, Brainstorming & Storytelling! This class is designed for students in grades 2nd-6th.
We will rehearse for Acting night on May 7th and 8th from 5-8pm and our Acting Night show will be May 9th - call time is 5pm!

Acting 6th - 12th grade will dive into honing your craft while finding the LOVE of theatre in every moment of class. The FUN Improv Games with your teammates continue but now you are expected to step it up for each other. Bringing more Energy, Focus & Excitement to the work. Working with the group AND each individual we take a step closer to professional style theatre work. We will not only learn from doing but also from observing our peers. This class is designed for students in 6th - 12th grade. We will have Acting Night Rehearsal on May 7 and 8 from 5pm-8pm and Acting Night is May 9th. Call time is 5pm!

Everyone will want to be a part of this family favorite and iconic Broadway show. The students will bring to life the tale of everyone's favorite redheaded orphan. An audition is required for this show. PLEASE DO NOT REGISTER UNTIL YOU RECEIVE CONFIRMATION OF YOUR AUDITION.

Students must be entering 2nd grade and no older than entering 9th grade.

Please be sure to check the rehearsal schedule for exact rehearsal times. This show will perform in the theater on June 21st and June 22nd.

50% of the tuition is due at registration. The other 50% is due by May 1st.
Please note, due to the high demand for these programs, there are no refunds or credits given after the first payment is processed. If your child receives a tshirt and script on the first day and then decides to not continue with the show, a $100 fee will be charged.

Into The Woods (Entering 7th - Graduated 12th graders) AUDITION REQUIRED
Escape into a fantastical fairytale adventure where wishes come true, but not free. A trove of storybook characters' paths intertwine as they chase their deepest desires through an enchanted forest. However, once they receive their happily ever after, the unintended consequences of granted wishes unravel their worlds.
Rehearsals may be extended the week of the show. The show will perform June 27th - 30th.

Students MUST be entering 7th grade and AUDITION for this show. High School Seniors who just graduated may audition. PLEASE DO NOT REGISTER UNTIL YOU RECEIVE CONFIRMATION OF YOUR AUDITION.

Please note, due to the high demand for these programs, there are no refunds or credits given after the first payment is processed. If your child receives a script and a t-shirt on the first day and then chooses to quit the show, there will be a $100 fee due.
