2017-2017 VIBE Dance Team
North East Athletic Center has teamed up with VIBE Dance Studio to offer dance programs with quality instruction in Hip Hop, Jazz, Tap, Contemporary, Ballet, and more. We offer classes for ages 12 to 17. Our staff is highly trained and enthusiastic. Our curriculum and philosophy are designed to allow a positive fusion of dance and learning that will develop a dancers body and mind and their passion for dance. The benefits of dancing with VIBE at North East Athletic Center are numerous. Our studio focuses on the dancer as a whole. It is our goal to inspire young dancers to develop a lasting passion for dance. At NEAC we focus on the technical aspects of dance, but we also focus on the body, the mind, and the soul. We want our dancers to have a complete understanding of the art of dance.

Jump & Flex
Learn to jump like a pro! In this class, Instructors will focus on flexibility and exercise training that is specific to improving the overall appearance and height of the athletes jumps. The fundamentals of every jump will be broken down as each athlete gains a better knowledge and understanding of their skills. In addition, athletes will receive personal attention in small groups to help meet their individual needs!

Flyer Flex
The sky was the limit before Flyer Flex! This class is specifically designed for flyers and aspiring flyers to take flexibility to a whole new level! Flyers will improve and gain a greater knowledge of each body position. In addition, we will work a number of exercises that will help flyers with the overall execution of their skills. Flyers will also get the opportunity practically apply their skills in the air with the help of our specialty staff!

Emerald (Beginner)
***NO CLASS the week of July 3rd-7th.*** This beginner class introduces students to basic gymnastic and cheer terms and skills such as the forward and backward roll, handstand, bridge and back bends, cartwheel, and round-off. Students will learn to perform all these skills and more in synchronization to counts.

Gold (Learn a Tuck) LEVEL 3
***To enroll in the class, athletes MUST already have mastered a ROUND OFF 3 BACK HANDSPRINGS and STANDING 3 BACK HANDSPRINGS*** This class is a great way to learn your back tuck. Participants will successfully master the round off backhandspring back tuck, a series of standing back handsprings to back tuck, a round off tuck, and a front tuck. The athlete will begin skills that will help their bodies develop to be a strong tumbler and cheerleader. The athlete will be able to perform skills in synchronization to counts. Class is time is spent focusing on proper training and drills for a back tuck. It is crucial at this point to build strength and jumping ability to successfully master the back tuck. In addition to Level 3 athletes can take Tuck Class to enhance their time in the gym and focus on building strength.

Sapphire (Learn a Back Walkover) LEVEL 1
***To enroll in the class, athletes MUST already have mastered a CARTWHEEL, HAND STAND, and BACK BEND*** This intro class is a great way to learn a strong tumbling foundation. Participants will successfully master the connections including cartwheel, round off, handstand, back bend, and back/front walkovers. The athlete will begin skills that will help their bodies develop to be a strong tumbler and cheerleader. The athlete will be able to perform all skills in synchronization to counts.

This intro class is a great way to learn a strong tumbling foundation. Participants will successfully master the forward and backward roll, cartwheel, bridge. The athlete will begin skills that will help their bodies develop to be a strong tumbler and cheerleader. The athlete will be able to perform all skills in synchronization to counts.

Masters (Learn a Full) LEVEL 5
***To enroll in the class, athletes MUST already have mastered a ROUND OFF BACK HANDSPRING LAYOUT and a STANDING TUCK*** This class is for more advanced cheerleaders with a solid tumbling background. The athlete will successfully master the round off back handspring full, a series of standing back handsprings layout/full, jumps to standing back tuck, front tumbling passes and bounding skills. The athlete will begin advanced combination passes. The athlete will begin skills that will help their bodies develop to be a strong tumbler and cheerleader. The athlete will be able to perform all skills in synchronization to counts.

***To enroll in the class, athletes MUST already have mastered a ROUND OFF TUCK and ROUND OFF BACK HANDSPRING TUCK*** This class is for more advanced cheerleaders with a solid tumbling background. The athlete will successfully master the round off back handspring layout, a series of standing back handsprings layout, jumps to standing back tuck, and front tumbling passes. The athlete will begin to content front tumbling to round - off back handspring layout. The athlete will begin advanced combination passes. The athlete will begin skills that will help their bodies develop to be a strong tumbler and cheerleader. The athlete will be able to perform all skills in synchronization to counts.
