9 and Up Dance Fusion
This class is for students who have at least 3 years experience in dance and based on ability. The discipline of Ballet is emphasized. Body alignment and muscle awareness is build upon from previous classes. This class will focus on positions of the arms, direction of the body and increased movement vocabulary the proper extension of the legs and shape of the feet, developing movement sequences, port de bras, and balance. Students will see an increase in difficulty in barre and center work. Students begin to focus on repetition and retention Dance builds a positive connection with peers, a creative and emotional outlet, and confidence. Physical, Intellect and emotional growth also takes place through consistent dance participation.

Attire: Maroon leotard, skintone transistion tights balck boy shorts skintone ballet shoes

Adv Hip Hop
Hip Hop started in the late 70’s with the B Boys dancing off of Beats and Bass- now it has grown in various styles of Hip Hop. Learn various styles of Hip Hop as well as dance to a variety of hip hop beats.

African Dance
African Dance Students will study West African and Haitian Dance. This class is for all ages and the steps are modified to fit everyone's needs. From High energy moves to slow low steps that ignited your love of dance.

Attire: Ashanti T-Shirt or leotard, Lappa Skirt ( African fabric), shorts or skin tone tranistion tights

Dance Fusion 6 to 8
This beginner class for children uses Modern techniques Horton, Limon and a touch of Graham. The modern aspect is paired with a strong foundation in ballet to prepare dancers for their next level in dance. Dance for Elementary age students builds a positive connection with peers,
creative and emotional outlet, and confidence. Physical, Intellect, and emotional growth also takes place through consistent dance participation.
In this Class dancers will build physical strength, posture and flexibility, body and brain awareness connection. The beginning technique of ballet as well as creative ability is the foundation of the class. Center work, use of feet, posture, and dance “turnout” will be introduce as well as introduction to the ballet barre.

Dance/ Movement Ages 3- 5
Dance is a great fine art to use as a tool in learning. Movement and dance helps with emotional, physical, social, and cognitive
growth for young children. Beginner 5 class will give dancers an opportunity to grow and explore through dance. Dance in
particular, integrates kinesthetic learning with understanding. This class, children will explore the basics of creative dance with
age appropriate basic ballet movement and exercises. movement games (shape, form, musicality) and props are used
to aid in this class. Students will begin to learn the basics of ballet through stretches and foundational discipline of ballet
such as ballet basic positions, arm poise and feet placement and balance. Class sizes are kept very small to assure plenty of
individual attention for our dancers.
Class Uniform: Pastel pink leotard, pink footed tights, pink leather ballet shoes , pink dance skirts are ok.
Class needs: Yoga mat and Yoga block
