N&B Production Number 2023-24
Production 2024 registration is open! This class does NOT have a monthly tuition class fee. There is a one time production sign up fee of $60.00. That is it. Students will begin learning the production routine in their regular team classes during the dance season. We will come together as a whole group (approx 40 dancers) for 6-8 practices to polish our routine:)
We take a $40.00 costume deposit upon team registration. Once costumes arrive during the dance season, the costume balance is applied to the student's statement. Parents can then log into the dancers parent portal online and pay the costume balance.

These little cloggers will have clogging shoes and a costume. They will compete at one dance competition in Richfield, in March. They will also perform in the Spring Concert in April and have the opportunity to perform at the Balloon Festival and 3rd of July festivities in Aurora.

N&B Elite Bronze
Teams rotate between learning Jazz and Lyrical routines. Jazz is a fast-paced, style of dance made famous from Broadway stages to popular music videos. This is a technical class that is fun and challenging. Lyrical is expressive and a fluid dance style combining elements of both ballet and jazz. Emphasis is placed on expressing the lyrics and emotions of a song.This team/class will include a warm up focusing on technique, followed by across the floor skills, and then will focus on a team routine of jazz and/or lyrical combinations each week.
Competitions: St. George, Richfield, Lagoon.
Other Routines: Dancers will participate in the Studio Production Number. Some teams may be involved in a second routine EX. If their team dance in a Jazz routine, they may combine with another team and learn a Lyrical or Contemporary Routine as class time allows.
Performances: Spring Concert in May and the Salina Balloon Festival in June.
Optional performances: 3rd of July in Aurora, and the 4th of July Parade.

Mom and Tot classes are held once a week for 45 minutes. This class is for children under 3 years and will prepare little athletes to venture into a class without the help of mom or dad, by the time that are 4 years old. Having a parent or caregiver participate with the child encourages independence and exploration! As these mini athletes develop they will become comfortable with the gym, teaching setting, equipment, and instructors. Music groups, coordination games and tumbling maneuvers will be practiced each class. Creative course encourage motor skill development while our free time at the end of class develops exploration! Your toddler will LOVE this class! Grandparents, dads, moms, aunts, uncles are all invited to participate with your toddler! We offer two beginning ballet classes for dancers ages 1st grade and up. These classes are held on different days at different times for your convenience. One is on Tuesday's from 3:15-4:15 and instructed by Miss Jayda Nielsen. The second class is offered on Wednesday from 4:45-5:45pm and instructed by Miss Jerica Shaw.
Grace, elegance and discipline. These are just a few of the benefits from classical training. Our philosophy is to promote anatomically correct placement and alignment for each individual. Ballet is essential for any serious dance student.
Competitions: St. George, Richfield, Lagoon. If you would like to participate in the class/barre’ work and not compete, please let us know:) Many students who are already on competition teams prefer to compete Ballet as well.
Performances: Spring Concert in May and the Salina Balloon Festival in June.

N&B 2/3 yr old Jazz/Ballet Dance Class
We offer three 2-3 year old class times. Monday 4:45-5:15, Tuesday 4:00-4:30pm or Tuesday 4:30-5:00pm. This allows us to offer smaller classes for all the 2-3 yr olds interested:) Creative movement classes are best suited for young dancers just starting out. This is a ballet/jazz based class and many of our 2 year olds and young 3’s find this class perfect for their pace. Here they will learn about musicality and movement skills. Creative movement is learning skipping, hopping, or clapping to the beat of music. We enhance their imagination by introducing imagery or “make believe”. With imagery we can become dancing clowns or fairies or of coarse a ballerina. Props are a great way we introduce the use of more motor skills-and the children love it. We use magic wands, beach balls, hula-hoops, rhythm sticks, flowers-the list is endless. These Toddlers will also learn a dance routine! This class is a wonderful introduction to dance!

Flexibility and coordination skills are focused on. The class is structured to reinforce social skills such as taking turns and cooperating with others in a group setting. Students will learn a dance routine and have the opportunity to participate in our Studio Production Number. This is a advanced ballet technique class. We focus on ballet technique at the barre and in center floor work. We have an additional routine class, back to back with this class, in which both the advanced and intermediate students come together to learn a ballet routine for our spring competitions and performances. This gives our ballet students the option to just take the technique class or take both classes and perform a routine. There is a costume fee for the routine class.

We take a $40.00 costume deposit at the time of registration for this class. When the costumes arrive, the costume balance is applied to the students statement. The parent then logs on to their parent portal to pay the costume balance online.
We offer two 4/5 yr old classes. One is on Tuesday from 5:00-5:45pm. This class time is back to back with our 4/5 yr. old tumbling class. This allows students to take both classes back to back on the same day. The other is on Wednesday from 4:45-5:15pm. Parents may pick which 4/5 yr old dance class (day and time) works best. Just register here, online for the class you prefer. Please note that once one class fills, registration for that class time will close.
Since 1979, beginners have been one of our specialties! We have developed a top notch curriculum for this age group keeping in mind that dancers this age need the class to keep moving and to have fun while learning. The focus in all of our age 4-5-year-old classes is placed on early physical and social development, working on developing and refining gross motor skills and coordination. Flexibility and coordination skills are focused on. Dance counts are introduced along with all basic dance steps such as posse’, releve’, sauche’s, pirouettes, chaine’s, and ballet positions for the arms and feet! The class is structured to reinforce social skills such as taking turns and cooperating with others in a group setting. Students will learn a dance routine and have the opportunity to participate in our Studio Production Number. In fact, we do so well with students in our renowned Early Childhood Program, all of our dancers, even the 3-year-olds, perform on stage in the spring concert! These dancers also have the opportunity to compete in the Richfield Dance Competition in March if they desire to do so:)
In addition, your student will start learning:
1.How to follow directions
2.To share with other kids.
3. Be independent.
4. How to take turns.
5. Have confidence.
Competition Opportunities: Richfield Competition and Production number.
Performances: Spring Concert in May and the 4the of July float in costume!
Shoes: Split sole pink ballet shoes. (We do carry these in the N&B Dance store)

These dancers will learn a competition routine and perform/compete in March, April and May. This class does require a costume and hip hop shoes.

All N&B Dance Teams-Auditions
If you are looking for a N&B Dance Team, you are in the correct place!!! All students who wish to be on a dance team must audition for placement. Every dancer will make a team.
This year team auditions will be Tuesday August 22nd at the studio. Please register for this team audition class if you have a dancer that would like to be on a dance team next season. These student will be given an audition number and audition time.
Competitions: St. George (March), Richfield(March), Lagoon(beginning of May).
Other Routines: Dancers will participate in the Studio Production Number. Some teams may be involved in a second routine EX. If their team dance in a Jazz routine, they may combine with another team and learn a Lyrical or Contemporary Routine as class time allows.
Performances: Spring Concert in April and the Salina Balloon Festival in June.
Optional performances: 3rd of July in Aurora, and the 4th of July Parade.
Shoes: Tan Gore Boots or Foot Undies (depending on dance) We do carry these in the N&B store.

After teams have been selected, schedules will be finalized. Your student's schedule will be emailed to you by the end of August as classes begin the week AFTER Labor Day.
There is a $25.00 audition fee.
