Dance Conditioning Monday
This class is designed to condition the body of dancers and non-dancers alike through stretch and strength workout. Tone and sculpt the entire body with exercises crafted to improve your dancing and general life. Slow exercises on the floor with a mat and timed breathing leaves you feeling in contact with your core. We use therabands and floor barre techniques to focus on improving the function of muscle groups. A great class for young and old alike, dancers and those looking for a dancers grace. All welcome. Class sizes are limited to 5 students in person, so please let me know your preference for online or in person learning.

This class is a recreation ballet for beginner and experienced dancers alike. This is a great workout in a fun environment. Flamenco Theory & Palmas Tue
This class is an investigation into the various palos of flamenco. We will be looking at each song form and discussing the structure, compas and practicing palmas. A brief lecture of the song form will be followed by listening to the music and discussing the components of the songs. We will practice common palmas for the palos. This class is available in the studio and online via Zoom.

Jr. Flamenco
An introduction to Flamenco dance for ages 8 to 11. I will introduce the basics of Flamenco dance with arm work, clapping exercises, footwork as well as teach the students a basic choreography. Sturdy shoes with a bit of a heel are preferred.

Beginner Flamenco Wed
Beginner Flamenco is a bit faster paced than the Introductory class on Saturdays and also includes learning a choreography. We focus on the basic building blocks of Flamenco with classes structured around floreos (hand movements), braceo (arm movements), zapateado (footwork), and palmas (the clapping that accompanies the song and dance). It is not necessary to take Intro to Flamenco before registering for Beginner Flamenco. Flamenco shoes are required for performance, but a sturdy shoe to start will be fine.

Previous Flamenco experience and correct shoes are required to attend Elementary Flamenco. We dive deep into the amazing world of Flamenco, exploring the various palos (song forms) and advancing students knowledge and skills. There is a limit to 5 students at a time in the studio but we will have Zoom as an option for people as well.
