Ballet 1 is built upon traditional classical ballet exercises, each with a specific purpose, in order to develop balance, extension, coordination, speed, agility, flexibility, and strength. Young dancers will enjoy this :45 class, exploring their own creativity while learning ballet fundamentals. Our patient instructors focus on helping dancers develop strong posture and correct body alignment that will last a lifetime. Dancers will learn cooperation with other dancers and develop stage presence and musicality. With the limited class time, this class is for dancers simply wanting a fun recreational activity.

Optional Pre-pointe/Pointe for Ballet 3+/Ballet 5
This Pre-pointe/Pointe class may be added separately as an option for all enrolled B3+ and B5/B6 for the 2023 - 2024 year. The exercises performed will allow B3+ dancers to build core and ankle strength, and improved foot articulation necessary for safe pointe work in the future, but note that B3+ dancers will not be going on pointe in this ballet year. For B5/6, it will allow for the progression of increased strength and control whether already on pointe, or still working towards that goal. All Ballet 4 dancers are enrolled in this class as part of their regular curriculum. Pointe work is not a guarantee for any dancer, as foot structure, articulation, core strength, and bodily control must all be taken into consideration.

Dancers will learn cooperation with other dancers and develop stage presence and musicality. With the limited class time, this class is for dancers simply wanting a fun recreational activity.
