COVID-19 Protocols/Policies/Safety Plan
Imagine Studios has an established COVID-19 response and notification plan. Should Imagine Studios become aware of any potential cases or contamination, all current students, faculty, and teachers will be notified via email immediately. Should an event occur, Imagine Studios will take all necessary steps to properly close off, disinfect and clear all studio spaces. If the studio closes due to a potential or positive case, all classes will be moved to the Zoom online platform until the studio is cleared for in-person classes to resume.
SAFETY PLAN,POLICIES & PROTOCOLS:
*All dancers must complete the on-line Covid-19 Self Declaration Form on our parent portal or our website before entering the studio for each term of dance.
* All dancers must fill out a self-screening form before attending class each day; If under the age of 18 a parent must sign.
* Imagine Studio staff must self- screen each day on the Class Manager App. (daily attendance)
* Start times and end times of classes have been staggered to ensure safe entry and exit of the studio
* The stairs outside of the studio will be set up for enter down one set and exit up the other
*Teachers and dancers are the only people permitted in the building during class hours, please email the studio if you would like to meet or discuss anything, we want your Imagine experience to be the best!
*Dancers under 6 years of age may be accompanied by one caregiver who must wait in their designated sitting area AND must fill out a self-screening form on the lobby table.
*There will be limited seats for caregivers with children under 6
*Masks are required to be worn in all common areas in the building; dancers may choose to dance without a mask during class time in their designated dance zone; masks must be placed in a Ziploc bag labelled with their full name and placed in their zone for quick access
* Each dancer will enter the building and go to a 6 feet apart marked designated bag drop off zone, this is where dancers will keep their bags
* Dancer will enter the studio space one at a time when the teacher has called the class in, and place labelled water bottle and mask in their designated dance zone to ensure social distancing of 6 feet
* We have allowed 15 mins between each class to disinfect all surfaces. Some classes will remain in the same studio all night, which will be regularly disinfected. Some classes will change studios due to size to maintain 6 feet apart from other dancers.
*Dance floor is clearly marked for each dancer to have a designated dance zone
*The lobby couches, tables and changeroom, are currently closed and will be used as bag drop off and eating area zones; the accessible washroom will remain open, and one stall per other washrooms will open
* Avoid changing outfits if in multiple classes
* Fridges will not be available at this time
*Water bottles are permitted and must be labelled
*Hand Sanitizer will be available throughout the studio space
*All dancers/caregivers will be required to use hand sanitizer upon entering the building
*Dancers with a temperature above 100.4/37 and/or with any other systems listed on the self-screening form are not to come to class
*All suspected cases of COVID-19 will be reported to the local Health Unit
*Should a teacher/staff member/student/parent/family member test positive for COVID-19, they must self-isolate for 14 days and not return to the studio without clearance from the Health Unit
*If a dancer becomes ill (clear systems listed on self screening form) at the studio, they will be accompanied into the storage room with a teacher/staff member with gloves, mask and shield and must exit the building thru the back door. The Parent/Guardian will be contacted immediately and when arriving at the studio will drive around back alley and pick up at the door. The studio space where the dancer was will be disinfected immediately. *If a teacher/staff member becomes ill (clear systems listed on self screening form) at the studio, they must leave the building immediately and the studio will be disinfected immediately where the member was in the studio.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR OUR DANCERS AND PARENTS/GUARDIANS:
*Dancers and caregivers of dancers under the age of 6 must wear masks when entering and exiting the building and while using all common areas
*Caregivers are asked to park their vehicles for drop off, and to arrive promptly for pick up in the parking lot, please do not pull up in front of the entrance and remind dancers to remain 6 feet apart or more while outside
*Dancers should limit the number of items brought into the studio as they will have a small designated space for their personal belongings, do not change dance clothes if in multiple classes
*The office will be open; all questions should be submitted by email or phone, if you need to come into the studio please call the studio ahead to make sure there is space to enter
*Parents must submit the completed Covid-19 waiver form and screening form before the dancer can participate.
*Parents will be required to complete a screening for their dancer each day online our website, or parent portal
Caregivers must consider the following before bringing their child to dance each day:
*Has anyone in the household experienced any of the following symptoms in the last 24 hours?
• Fever or chills
• Cough or sore throat
• Shortness of breath or difficulty breathing
• Muscle or body aches
• New loss of taste or smell
• Nausea or vomiting
• Abdominal pain or diarrhea
• Unexplained fatigue or headaches
*Have you participated in international travel by airplane in the last 14 days?
*In the last 14 days, have you had close contact with a confirmed/probable COVID-19 case?
If you have answered yes to any of the above, please remain home and contact the studio.

2020 2021 Season

This season will be divided into 3 Terms:
Term 1 (14 weeks) September 14 - December 21
Term 2 (10 weeks) January 4 - March 22
Term 3 (9 weeks) March 22 - May 27

Closed Thanksgiving: Monday October 12th

Dress up for Halloween: Thursday October 26th to Saturday October 31st
Wear your costume to dance class! (Parents please ensure your child can dance in their costume)

Santa Claus Parade(tentative): Saturday December 5th the whole school can join in on the celebration!

Closed Christmas Holidays: Last day of class: Monday December 21st

Term 2 begins Monday January 4th

Closed March Break: Last day of Term 2: Saturday March 13th
Term 3 Begins Monday March 22nd

Recital will be held at Showplace Performance Theatre, tickets will be $23 each person, tickets will go on sale in April
Dress Rehearsal for Recital: Tuesday May 25th
Year End Recital: Wednesday May 26th,Thursday May 27th
