ATTENDANCE AND MAKE-UP CLASSES: Please refer to the attendance clause of the Hot Shots Dance Company Committment Contract for details - our company members are held to a higher standard. *Excused absences receive prior approval from the director; advance notice of absence does not mean it is excused. The following are considered “excused” absences:
• Death in the family
• Scheduled school programs or performances required for credit
• Wedding or religious dedication of you or a member of your immediate family
• If you are infectiously ill (fever, flu, contagious illness requiring antibiotics such as strep throat, head lice, etc.)
Dancers should attend/watch class in the case of injury or mild illness (i.e. common cold without fever). _____ (INITIALS)
Punctuality is just as important as attendance - please be on time and prepared for class. Three occurrences of tardiness will count as an unexcused absence. Students should not miss more than five (5) of any one class per dance season, after which the dancer may not be allowed to perform or may be dismissed from the studio. Dance requires consistent ongoing training, and dancers who excessively miss classes will not be able to perform at the same level and with the same confidence as those who have attended all classes regularly_____ (INITIALS)
Makeup classes are available for absences due to illness or other personal reasons during regularly scheduled classes, but it is your responsibility to arrange for this. A makeup class schedule will be communicated if WFDS closes unexpectedly due to a holiday, inclement weather, or other unforeseen event. WFDS DOES NOT follow Jerome School District schedule exactly with regard to holidays, closings, teacher workdays, etc. For inclement weather or other closure information, please check your email and text messages regularly or text (208) 934-6768. _____ (INITIALS)

Dance Company classes will consist of ballet, jazz, tap, additional technique, acrobatics, hip-hop, and/or advanced ballet PLUS choreography. Competitions may be added or deleted at the discretion of WFDS. If competitions are changed, additional entry fees may apply. Further information will be provided as it becomes available.
