STUDIO BEA DANCE
POLICIES & PROCEDURES
A registration fee is due upon time of fall registration. This fee is $25.00 for individuals and $40.00 for families. This fee is non-refundable.
Please note, instructors reserve the right to place students in classes that fit their skill level and ability. Studio Bea also reserves the right to combine and cancel classes due to fluctuating enrollment.
Families with an outstanding balance from previous seasons will not be allowed to register until account balances are zero.
November 1st is the registration deadline for all new and returning students.
Participation in all 3 of our spring recitals is required. Recitals will be held the first, second, or third weekend in June. Dates will be released as soon as the venue is confirmed.
A recital fee will be due October 1st. The recital fee is $85 for individuals and $110 for families. This fee will cover the costs associated with the annual spring recital.
Each family will be allotted 6 tickets to the spring recital once all accounts are up to date.
Ticket sales will be held in the spring at the studio on a first come first serve basis. After the initial ticket sale tickets will be open to the public. It is important to make sure your account is up to date prior to ticket sales to make for a quick and easy process.
A non-refundable costume deposit will be due October 1st. The remaining costume fees are due with each month’s tuition, with the final deposit due by December 15th. A late fee of $20.00 will be added to each month after the deadline for costume fees not paid in full.
Costumes will be required for each dance performed in the recital. Some classes may wear one costume for multiple dances.
Specific tights, shoes and accessories are required for the recital. Tights and shoes are not included in the costume fee but are required and will be available for purchase through the studio or affiliate store.
Accessories are also not included in the costume fee but are required and must be purchased through the studio.
Competition team members will have additional costume fees with deposit dates to be determined.
Monthly Tuition is to be paid September 1 – June 15. June rates will be prorated, all other months will be full price.
Monthly Tuition is due the first of each month. Studio Bea does not pro-rate or refund tuition for missed classes due to illness, injury, or other personal conflicts. If payment is not made you will be turned over to a collection agency.
A late fee of $20.00 will be automatically applied on the 15th of each month for tuition that is not yet paid in full.
If your student wishes to add or drop a class an Add/Drop form must be filled out and returned to the office prior to the first of the month to avoid further tuition charges.
Refunds and Returned Checks Policy
All refunds will be issued as studio credit unless otherwise stated.
Any refund issued in check form will be for 90% of the original amount.
You will be notified of returned checks and are responsible for the initial fee and a $25.00 returned check fee. If payment is not made you will be turned over to a collection agency.
Class Attendance and Attire
Regular class attendance is expected. If your student must miss class you are responsible for notifying the studio via email or phone. Students who miss 3 or more classes after March 1st may be removed from the recital choreography.
Class attire is listed under dress code on the studio website and is required for safety of students and to ensure proper technique and body placement are being executed. Clothing and shoes will be available for purchase through the studio or at local dance stores, please ask staff for details. Students who do not follow the dress code may be asked to sit out.
Class cancellations due to weather will follow that of the Waukee public school system, unless notified by the instructor. Make up classes may be scheduled on the third weather related cancelation and any that follow.
Students ages 10+ are not to be dropped off any earlier than 15 minutes prior to their scheduled class time. Students 9 and under must be accompanied by an adult if more than 5 minutes early, this is to ensure the safety of the students as there may not be office staff present in the waiting area.

Studio Bea is not responsible for any lost, stolen, or damaged property. Please be sure your dancer has all of his/her belongings prior to leaving the studio each night. Any unclaimed items will be held in the lost and found for no more than 30 days and then will be donated or thrown.
It is expected that students and parents will demonstrate respect while in and out of class. Students that do not show respect and disrupt class will be asked to leave class and have a parent called.
