Registration: Each student must pay a non-refundable registration fee of $25 and each family with multiple students will pay no more than $35. This fee is collected annually.
Payment of Fees: Tuition is a fixed rate and remains the same each month whether there are 3, 4, or 5 weeks of classes per month. Tuition is not adjusted for missed classes by the student or studio closures due to holidays.
Tuition is scheduled by automatic debit only and is charged on or after the 1st day of each month (unless otherwise specified for the class). Tuition is neither refundable nor transferable.
Late Fee: A $15 late fee will be charged to any past due account. This includes accounts that can not be processed due to inaccurate account information or expired cards.
Withdrawal and Refunds: Tuition pays for the month of classes in advance. If you wish to adjust your enrollment, be sure to do so before tuition is collected for the month ahead. There are no refunds for tuition already paid.
Born to Perform Studio reserves the right to terminate lessons to any students without notice. In such a case a refund for unused lessons will be given.
Holiday Closures: Notices will be posted prior to closures and scheduled closures are listed on the website. Monthly tuition will not be adjusted for scheduled closures as it is already calculated in the tuition.
Unexpected Interruption of Classes: If the studio must cancel classes due to events beyond our control such as power outages, government restrictions, etc. the missed lessons will be eligible for a make-up class. No refunds for lessons missed due to these reasons will be given.
Substitutions: The studio reserves the right to provide a substitute teacher if the regularly scheduled teacher is ill or otherwise unable to teach classes. If a teacher is ill and the studio cannot arrange a substitute, any missed classes will be made up.
Attendance and Lateness: The studio reserves the right to have students who come late to class, sit out the class. Repeated lateness may result in termination of lessons. Excusable absences (i.e. login to your Student/Parent Portal to notify of the absence) can be made up within 4 weeks of an excused absence, but may not be applied to future tuition. Make-ups may be in the form of attending equivalent skill level classes on different days, a semi private make-up lesson, or a scheduled performance workshop. Make-up class appointments must be made with the studio prior to attending and may be found on the calendar in your student/parent portal. If a student misses more than 3 classes without notice to the studio or teacher, the studio reserves the right to terminate lessons. Students with excessive absences after January will not be allowed to participate in the year-end showcase.
Parent’s Responsibility to be Aware of Dates and Events: It is the responsibility of the parent or adult student to be aware of all studio activities, such as showcases, extra classes, and dates the studio is open or closed. The studio will post all such notices on the website. It is the parent’s responsibility to regularly check the website and any studio boards to ensure they are informed. It is the responsibility of the parents or adult students to inform the school of any address, telephone number, or credit card information change.
Care of Students: The studio is not responsible for providing before or after class care for students. Parents with students under the age of 3 are to remain in the studio during classes. Students are not to be left at the studio for an excessive time before or after class.
Injuries: Parents, legal guardians of minor students and adult students waive the right to any legal action for any injury or illness sustained on studio property or online resulting from normal performance activity or any other activity conducted by the students before, during or after class time.
Photo Release: The studio is hereby granted permission to take photographs of the students to use in brochures, websites, posters, advertisements and other promotional materials the studio creates. Permission is also hereby granted for the studio to copyright such photographs in its name.
