By enrolling at Powerhouse Dance Factory I certify that I have read, understand and agree to the terms and conditions outlined in the Powerhouse policy document (available in the parent portal and reception). I verify that the enrolment form information is correct and we also confirm that my child/children are able to participate in the nominated dance classes at Powerhouse Dance Factory.
* Please notify the school via email if a class or classes are to be missed. * If a number classes are missed then this may effect the student’s involvement in group choreography. They may not be included in the sections taught when they were absent. * In some cases, private lessons may be required to catch up on work taught in classes they were absent from. * Ballet workshops are compulsory for students wishing to participate in exams. * Students are encouraged to attend their classes, to sit and watch, if they are mildly sick (not contagious) or injured.
No refundes (or exchanges between siblings) can be issued for any costume levies. This is because our costume departments works year-round collecting, sorting, sewing, designing etc. Some costumes are purchased or made for the end of year concert as early as February. All of the costume fees go towards the running costs of our costume department. Once commitment has been made for our annual concert, there will be no refunds on any payments.
* Term fees are to be fully paid within 1 week of the start of each term or you must be enrolled in autopay. * Once enrolling in a class payment is due for the remaining weeks of the term. * We are unable to refund/credit term fees, privates, costumes or part thereof due to absence/change of mind. * One free trial week is available to new students only, if students continue after this then full term fees must be paid. * An automatic 10% late fee will be applied to all fees not paid by the due date. A reoccurring late fee is added every 10 days that account is left unpaid. * If Term fees are still unpaid by week 8 of term, your child will have to sit out of class until accounts are brought up-to-date. * The Enrolment Fee is non-refundable. * If students are away for a full term then fees are not charged, however the student may lose their place in the class if we are able to fill it. * Once committing to concert - concert costume payments must be made in full. All of the costume fees go towards the running costs of our costume department. * Cancellation of classes - we require written notice of cancellation of classes, there is 4 week cancellation period. * An end of year medal will not be ordered if there is still outstanding money on account. * Please note if child does not complete the last term of dance, they will not receive their Term 4 medal.
Powerhouse Dance Factory fosters the celebration student’s achievements. We realise how important photos and recorded footage of your children’s special moments are. We have the following policy to encourage responsible use of images produced: * Open Classes - Photography and filming is permitted. We request that you focus only on your own child and do not publish any footage on the internet (Facebook, Youtube etc) which includes other students. * General Weekly Classes - Photographing or filming during classes is only allowed if the teacher and other students/parents give permission. Footage must not be published on the internet (Facebook, Youtube etc). * Staff at Powerhouse Dance Factory - Teachers may film and photograph students during classes. Films are useful as a learning tool providing visual feedback to students. Photos are also used in displays at the school or published in the newsletter or on our website. Teachers are not permitted to publish images of students on the internet (Facebook, Youtube etc). Some images may be use on the Powerhouse Dance Factory website or Facebook. Please notify the school if you do not wish photos of your child to be used in this way. * Social Media - Powerhouse Dance Factory has a professionally run Instagram and Facebook Pages. Photos and short videos of class work and performances are published from time to time. Families may 'opt out' at the time of enrolment or by emailing the school at any time.
