You must be 18 years or over to register for an account.

1. Dancer Safety and Risk Acknowledgment
At Dance Nation, we are committed to providing a safe environment for all dancers during classes, rehearsals, performances, and competitions. While every effort is made to minimise risks, dance is a physical activity that carries inherent risks of injury.

By enrolling, parents/guardians acknowledge these risks and agree to release Dance Nation and its staff from liability for injuries that are not the result of negligence. Dance Nation is not liable for injuries arising from circumstances beyond its reasonable control.

2. Personal Property
Dance Nation is not responsible for any loss, theft, or damage to personal belongings brought into the studio, including mobile phones, tablets, and other valuables. We recommend that dancers only bring essential items and ensure they are securely stored.

While we take reasonable precautions to maintain a safe environment, personal property remains the responsibility of the owner.

3. Emergency Medical Care
In the unlikely event of a medical emergency where a parent/guardian cannot be reached, Dance Nation staff may arrange necessary medical care for the dancer to ensure their safety and wellbeing. Parents/guardians agree to cover all associated medical expenses.

To facilitate emergency care, we request that all families provide up-to-date emergency contact details and inform us of any medical conditions, allergies, or medications relevant to the dancer’s health.

4. Acceptance of Terms
By enrolling at Dance Nation, parents/guardians confirm that they have read, understood, and accepted these policies. These terms are designed to ensure a safe, respectful, and professional environment for all participants.

1. Enrolment Commitment:
- All classes are considered a commitment for the remainder of the year. If you wish to discontinue classes before the final payment date of 7th December (Auto Pay), you must notify Dance Nation via email at dancenationsyd@gmail.com.

2. Early Exit Fee (Auto Pay):
- A cancellation or early exit fee equivalent to two weeks' fees will apply to all cancellations before the end of the enrolment period.
This fee covers administrative and operational costs incurred due to your withdrawal and will be charged once your cancellation is confirmed.
- No advanced notice is required for cancellations. Once your cancellation is processed, your enrolment at Dance Nation will end.

3. Upfront Term Payments:
- For families paying upfront for the term, no refunds will be issued if you decide to cancel before the conclusion of the term.
This policy ensures consistency in planning and scheduling for our classes and staff.

4. Missed Classes and Private Lessons:
- If a student cannot attend a scheduled class due to illness or other reasons, families must notify the studio by calling (02) 8605 3990 as soon as possible.
- Cancellations or changes to private technique lessons must be made at least 24 hours before the scheduled start time. Failure to provide notice or attend the session will incur the full lesson fee. Exceptions may be considered in emergencies or approved by management.

5. Costume Deposits and Refunds:
- Costume deposits for company or concert performances are non-refundable if a student withdraws from the studio. Refunds will not be issued for undelivered costumes due to a student's resignation, as these costumes are often custom-made or sized to fit the specific dancer and cannot be reused or resold unless another student of the same size steps in and the costume is successfully reassigned.

6. General Refund Policy:
- Dance Nation does not offer refunds for missed classes, rehearsals, or events, except under exceptional circumstances approved by management or as required by Australian Consumer Law. Refunds will only be provided in cases such as significant changes to the services offered by Dance Nation or if the studio cancels classes.

Concert Costumes - $90.00 Per Costume
- Students in the end-of-year concert must purchase a costume for each weekly class they attend (except classes like Conditioning & Technique, which don’t require costumes).
- The Ready Set Dance Class & Mini Combo class require 2 costumes.
- Costume fees are charged in Terms 1, 2, and 3 only.
- $30 per student/style must be paid by the end of Terms 1, 2, and 3.
- Students joining Terms 2, 3, or 4 must pay costume fees for previous terms.
- Costume fees for Company routines are invoiced separately.
- Costumes will not be ordered if fees are unpaid or not up-to-date
- Costume deposits are non-refundable if a student leaves the studio, and no refunds are given for costumes not yet delivered due to withdrawal.

Performer Pack - $109.95 Per Dancer
All dancers in the annual concert must purchase a Performer Pack, which includes:
- A participation medal
- HD video download of the concert
- Stage rehearsal fee
- A limited-edition concert t-shirt (worn during stage rehearsal and the concert Finale
- Additional Siblings: $69.95 per pack

By enrolling at Dance Nation, dancers and their families agree to uphold the confidentiality of all proprietary studio information, including choreography, competition routines, and business practices. This information must not be shared, copied, or distributed outside the studio without prior written permission.

Any breach of this confidentiality policy may result in disciplinary action, up to and including removal from the program. This ensures the integrity and professionalism of our studio and its operations.

Annual Registration Fee:
- A $50.00 annual registration fee is payable per student upon enrollment.
- This fee secures your child's spot in their selected classes and covers insurance and administrative costs associated with enrollment.

Fees at Dance Nation are structured as fortnightly instalments for those opting into Auto Pay, or as upfront term payments for others. The yearly enrolment period runs from February to December.
1. Auto Pay Enrolment (Optional):
- Families may choose to enrol in Auto Pay (direct debit) for convenience.
- For those enrolled in Auto Pay, fortnightly instalment fees will be debited from your nominated account or credit card on [specific day, e.g., Fridays].
2. Upfront Term Payments (For Non-Auto Pay Families):
- Families not opting for Auto Pay are required to pay the full term fee upfront, five days before the commencement of each term.
- Failure to provide payment before the term begins will result in the student being unable to participate in classes until fees are up to date. No exceptions will apply in 2025.
3. Payment Structure:
- Auto Pay payments are made fortnightly and cover two weeks of classes in advance.
- Term payments for non-Auto Pay families cover the entire term in advance.
4. Refunds and Attendance:
- No refunds will be issued under any circumstances.
- Fees must be paid regardless of attendance. Missed classes will not result in a refund or credit.
5. Pro-Rated Fees for New Students:
- For students enrolling mid-term, the first payment will be pro-rated based on the number of classes remaining in the current period.
- Subsequent payments will follow the standard payment schedule.
6. Dishonoured Payments (Auto-Pay):
- If a direct debit attempt fails, a $15 dishonour fee will be added to your account.
- Outstanding payments must be rectified within seven days to avoid disruptions to enrolment.
7. Debt Recovery:
- Patrons agree to pay all owing invoices for classes as per these terms and conditions.
- Failure to honour payments may result in debt recovery proceedings at the patron's expense.
8. Holiday Periods and Equal Payments:
- The fortnightly instalment fee (for Auto Pay) and upfront term fees (for non-Auto Pay families) are calculated to include weeks when lessons do not occur (e.g., school holidays).
9. Private Tuition and Costumes:
- Private tuition and costume fees are not included in standard payments and must be paid separately by cash or bank deposit.
By enrolling at Dance Nation, you agree to these terms and conditions and understand your payment obligations. If you opt into Auto Pay, you authorise Dance Nation to deduct payments from your nominated account following the agreed schedule.

Classroom Access: Parents are not permitted to enter classrooms unless invited by the instructor. Please wait in the designated parent waiting area or outside the studio until classes conclude. CCTV is available for parents to view classes at all times.

Student Supervision: While Dance Nation takes great care with all students, parents must ensure their child understands the importance of not leaving the premises without a parent or carer.

Studio Safety: Students are not allowed to play outside the studio buildings, including the car park and arcade areas. For everyone’s safety, please drive carefully around the studio premises.

Siblings, Family and Friends: Siblings, family members, and friends not enrolled in classes must not be left unsupervised within the studio at any time.

Drug-Free Zone: Dance Nation is a strict drug- and alcohol-free environment. Anyone found under the influence or in possession of such substances will be asked to leave immediately.

Lost Property: Dance Nation is not responsible for any lost items within the studio premises. Please label all belongings clearly and leave valuables at home.

Cleanliness: All studio-provided amenities, including the waiting room and bathrooms, must be kept clean and tidy. Young children using these areas must be supervised at all times.

Smoking and Vaping: Smoking and vaping are strictly prohibited on all studio premises.

Studio Conduct:
- Students must maintain a positive and enthusiastic attitude when entering and exiting classrooms.
- Playing in empty studios without teacher supervision is not permitted.
- Proper footwear appropriate to each dance genre must be worn at all times.
- Visiting siblings or friends must be accompanied and supervised by a parent or guardian while at Dance Nation.

Respect and Sportsmanship:
- All students are expected to treat their peers with kindness and respect, fostering a supportive and team-oriented environment.
- Bullying, unsportsmanlike conduct, or overly competitive behaviour will result in a warning. After three warnings, the student may be asked to leave the studio.

Behavioural Expectations: Dance Nation reserves the right to suspend or cancel a student’s enrolment if their behaviour consistently disrupts the learning environment. This ensures that all students have access to a safe and enriching experience.

By enrolling at Dance Nation, you grant permission for photographs, audio, and video recordings of your child to be taken during classes, rehearsals, and performances. These materials will remain the property of Dance Nation and may be used for advertising and promotional purposes, including but not limited to social media, the studio's website, newsletters, brochures, and other marketing materials.

If you do not consent to your child's image or recordings being used, please inform us in writing at the time of enrolment or as soon as possible. You may revoke your consent at any time by providing written notice to Dance Nation.
