Realizing and understanding that all reasonable precautions are being and will be taken to ensure the safety of the undersigned's child(ren), the undersigned assumes all responsibility for and all risk of damage, illness or injury that may occur to the undersigned and /or undersigned parent's/ guardian's child(ren) as a participant in any activity occurring under the auspices of the Acton-Boxborough Dance Center LLC while participating in activities or using dance studio's facilities or following instructions in or out of the dance studio location. In consideration of being accepted as a student or being a parent or legal guardian of a student, the undersigned hereby releases and discharges the dance studio and agents from all claims, demands, rights or causes of action present or future, whether known, anticipated; and resulting from or arising out of or incident to, the undersigned's use or undersigned parent/guardian's child(ren)'s use (or intended use) of the dance studio location or facilities or equipment, or transportation or vehicles in such a place or as a result of, or incident to, engaging in Acton-Boxborough Dance Center LLC's dance activities.
A late fee of $10 per week will be charged for overdue tuition.
Recital tickets must be purchased in order to watch the performance.
Our program is a school-year program. It is assumed that dancers will continue for the entirety of the program unless we are informed otherwise. If at any point you wish to withdraw your dancer from class, please inform us in an email.
REFUNDS
In order to withdraw from a class and be eligible for a refund, you must inform the studio in writing (either email or letter) of your intention to withdraw from a class (or classes). The withdrawal will take effect from the date that your email or letter was sent, not the date that the student last attended class. Failure to notify the studio in writing of a withdrawal may make you ineligible for a refund.
1. Students who withdraw before classes begin will receive a full refund, less the registration fee.
2. Students who withdraw during the first five classes will receive a refund of half of the tuition installment paid.
3. Students who withdraw after the first five classes of the session will receive a credit on their account for remaining classes already paid.
4. Costume payments are not refundable after December 15th.
5. Refunds or credit (your choice) will be given for the remainder of the term for any class cancelled due to low enrollment.
6. No refund or credit will be given to any student missing class for illness, injury, or any other reason.
OTHER REFUNDS
1. Costume deposits are NOT refundable after December 15; there are no exceptions.
2. Competition costume and entrance fees are non-refundable; there are no exceptions.
3. Moving Minis Dance Parties-if you cancel your registration more than 1 week prior to the event, any fee paid will be refunded. After that, if you need to cancel your registration, you have up until 48 hours before to cancel via email and receive a credit for any tuition paid. Less than 48 hours notice, no refund or credit will be given.
4. Mini Session Classes-students who withdraw before the session begins will receive a full refund. Students who withdraw after the session begins will receive tuition credit for any remaining classes. Please notify us by email if you plan to withdraw.
5. Summer Programs-students who withdraw more than 1 week prior to the program will receive a full refund. After that, tuition credit will be issued for any student who needs to withdraw their registration.
OTHER POLICIES
PLEASE NOTE THAT ABDC IS A NUT-FREE ENVIRONMENT
PERSONAL PROPERTY
I understand that ABDC is not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged belongings.
PICK UP/DROP OFF
I understand that ABDC is not responsible for students before, after, or in between classes. ABDC will open 15 minutes prior to the first class of the day, and will close 10 minutes after the last class of the day-please plan drop off and pick up accordingly.
PRIVATE LESSON POLICIES
Private lessons must be paid for in advance or at the time of the lesson. Private lessons must be cancelled more than 24 hours in advance in order to receive a credit for the lesson. No refunds are given for lessons cancelled with less than 24 hours notice.
MINI SESSION CLASSES/SPECIAL EVENTS
Mini session classes and events such as Moving Minis Dance Parties must be paid for prior to the first class. Â No refunds are given for dropped classes.
MEDICAL TREATMENT
In case of an emergency where I cannot be reached, I authorize ABDC to take all actions necessary to preserve the health of my child. I give permission for ABDC to obtain emergency medical services for my child in the event that I cannot be reached.
WEATHER CANCELLATIONS
We typically, but not always, follow the Acton-Boxborough school district regarding weather cancellations. Cancellations will be sent out via email and robo-text by 8am for morning classes, and by 1pm for afternoon/evening classes. Our tuition accounts for 1 reserve snow day per class. If two classes are missed due to weather or other cancellation, we will offer a make up day. If more than two classes are missed, we will not offer additional make up dates but are happy to help you find another class to attend as a make up.
MAKE UP CLASSES
If a class is missed for any reason, dancers may attend a make up class in a similar or lower level class. Because we don't always offer more than one section of each class, you may attend a make up class in a different style of dance where applicable. Please email us to inquire as to what class would be the best fit for a make up class. No refunds are given if you are unable to attend a make up class.
EXTENUATING CIRCUMSTANCES
In the event of closure due to pandemic, natural disaster or government orders, ABDC will move classes to an online platform with no change to tuition. If at any point ABDC needs to close the lobby, parents/guardians will be responsible for dancers before, after, and in between classes.
