Planet Dance would like to welcome you to this year’s dance season. We are looking forward to having a great year with new memories and achievements. Please read carefully as our rules and regulations have changed.
By registering your student, you agree to these terms.
We’re so excited to begin welcoming dancers back into our studio! Please see our updated policies and procedures below. These are regulations to keep our students, staff, and families safe during this time.
Students will be dropped off at the door one at a time. Please respect social distancing guidelines while outside the studio. Staff will let dancers in one at a time. All students will be asked a series of questions.
In the past 24 hours, have you experienced:
o Fever
o New or worsening cough
o Shortness of breath or trouble breathing
o Sore throat, different than your seasonal allergies
o New loss of smell and/or taste
o Diarrhea or vomiting
Has anyone in your household or a close contact been diagnosed with COVID-19 in the past 2 weeks?
After passing the questionnaire, temperature checks will be taken. Anyone with a temperature over 100.4 will not be admitted inside.
Once a dancer has passed the screening, they will be brought inside the studio and will be asked to sanitize their hands. The lobby will not be open at this time, and parents must wait in their cars or return at pickup time.
All dancers age 5& Up will be required to wear masks. All dancers will be required to sanitize their hands anytime they touch their face during class.
Please send only dance shoes and a water bottle with your dancer. Our water cooler will not be available. Dancers will need to bring their own water bottle to each class
We will have the floor marked and each dancer will receive their own individual space. Dancers will remain 6 feet apart at all times.
The studio will be cleaned between each group of dancers, and all high touch surfaces will be wiped down.
Only props that can be sanitized will be used in class, and they will be sanitized after every group of dancers. These props will never be shared by multiple dancers in the same class.
We will keep our normal attendance records to be able to provide contact tracing information if needed. If you cannot attend class, please let us know along with the reason so we can keep accurate records. We will continue to provide Zoom feeds of our in studio classes for students who cannot or do not feel safe attending in person. Please let us know at least 4 hours in advance of class so we can make sure we have everything in place.
Hands will again be sanitized at the end of class, and we will dismiss one at a time through the FRONT door. Please be prompt picking up your dancer, so we may complete our cleaning procedures and welcome our next group of dancers into the studio on time.
Please make sure you take everything with you from the studio when you leave. We will not be keeping a lost and found during this time. No personal items will be allowed to be left behind at the end of the day, even for dancers who are returning the next day.
Guidelines may be updated at any time with new information from the County, State, or Federal Government. We reserve the right to offer additional safety precautions outside of government guidelines to best protect our students, staff, and families.
While we will do our best to provide the safest environment possible and minimize risks, there is an inherent risk of exposure to COVID-19 in any public place where people are present. By attending classes, you voluntarily assume all risks related to exposure to COVID-19.
Thank you for doing your part to keep our studio community healthy and we look forward to seeing you in class soon!

Attendance:
We understand that emergencies occur; however, being part of a team (competition or not) you must be dedicated, work hard, and exhibit teamwork. Absences are to be kept to a minimum for ALL STUDENTS.
Tardiness:
We are only at the studio once a week for 45 minutes or less depending on the class. To make the most of this experience, punctuality is expected from every student and parent. If you are more than five minutes late, you will be asked to sit for five minutes as a disciplinary act. If you are more than ten minutes late, you will be asked to sit and will not be allowed to participate in that day’s class. Three late arrivals will equal one absence.
Competition Team: Please refer to your packet. Your absence and tardiness guidelines are different.
Recital:
Planet Dance will always take in new students; we love to have our family keep growing. However, if you plan to participate in the end-of-year recital, you MUST be registered and attending class no later than January. Any new student that signs up after January will not be allowed to participate in the recital.
