• Vela will send statements via email, as well as other invoices for extra performances, costumes and
competitions. These invoices are DUE ON RECEIPT. It is the parent’s responsibility to mail or bring payment to
the studio. All tuition must be current to participate in studio functions. This includes all performances, trips,
and competitions.
• Tuition is due the first day of the month and delinquent after the 2nd of the month. A recurring 20% late fee will
be applied on the 5th day of the month. No exceptions.
• If payment has not been received in full by the end of the month, students will not be allowed to participate in
class, the student will be dropped from all classes, and will be required to re-register and pay a new registration
fee. A recurring 35% late fee will be applied on the 30th day of the month. No exceptions.
• Tuition is set on a yearly basis. The payment amount always remains the same whether the month is a “long”
month (5weeks) or a “short” month (3 weeks). No exceptions will be made.
• There are NO REFUNDS or ADJUSTMENTS made for missed classes. Tuition is based on enrollment, not
attendance.
• There are NO REFUNDS or ADJUSTMENTS made for registration fees, costume deposits, costume fees and
competition fees
• Returned payments of any kind will receive a $45.00 NSF Charge. After multiple returned payments, a parent
may be asked to pay in cash or certified funds.
• A parent/guardian must give a MINIMUM of 30 days notice, in writing, when withdrawing from a class. You are
responsible for your child's tuition until the end of the 30 days
• If your child needs to be withdrawn from a program because of illness or injury, please provide the school with a
doctor’s note and a written withdrawal so that we may issue an appropriate refund. In cases where withdrawal is
due to illness or injury, and a doctor’s note has been provided, the current month’s fees are non-refundable
• V.A.M. accepts cheques, cash and major credit cards. Credit Card payments will be charged an additional 4% on
every purchase.
• All students are required to pay a yearly registration fee. This registration fee is renewable at the beginning of
each season, beginning in September.
• Should your child need to miss a class for any reason, we ask that you kindly notify the receptionist.
• Classes canceled due to poor weather conditions, power outages or other natural causes will be postponed and
rescheduled.
• A recital fee, in addition to a costume fee, is required from any student taking part in the recital and is nonrefundable.
• Participation in the recital is by no means required by a student, though we do ask to be noticed at the
beginning of the class if a student wishes to opt out.
• Students have opportunities to study in master classes, attend a convention, and participate in community
shows. Payment must be arranged prior to the event.
• To cancel a private lesson, we require a minimum of 24 hours notice.
