Elite Dance Center's Policies and Procedures
Registration: A non-refundable registration fee of $25 per child (max $50/family is required yearly at the time of sign up.)
Payment of Fees: Tuition is due by the 10th of each month. Tuition may be paid with cash, check, or credit. Please note all credit transactions will be subject to a 3% convenience fee. Families enrolled in automatic withdrawal will have their account debited on the 1st of the month from September to May.
Tuition is non-refundable. Tuition is based on a yearly amount divided into equal payments. All charges will appear on your bank or credit statement as being from Elite Dance Center.
Late Fee: If your account is not paid in full by the 10th of each month, a $10 late fee will be applied to the account. If tuition is not paid for 2 consecutive months the student(s) will be removed from all of their classes and must re-register to return to classes.
Returned Check Fee: All returned checks will be subject to a $35 NSF fee in addition to the payment of the initial balance. Tuition will be subject to a late fee if non-sufficient funds cause the payment to be late.
Withdrawals/Refunds: One month notice is required to withdraw from any class. Withdrawals must be submitted in writing. Withdrawals are not handled by classroom teachers. Withdrawal notices may be emailed to elitedancecenternc@gmail.com. All automatic bank debiting or credit card charges will stop after the one month notice period. Elite Dance Center reserves the right to terminate lessons to any student without notice. In such a case a refund for any unused lessons will be given.
Absences: If a student is absent for a class, he/she may make up the class, or a similar class, at another time. There is no refund for missed classes that are not made up. Scheduling make up classes is the responsibility of the student and/or parent, not the studio.
Extreme Weather or Unexpected Interruption of Classes: If classes must be cancelled due to extreme weather or events beyond our control, missed lessons can be made up at another time. If you are unsure about classes being cancelled please call the studio or visit the Elite Dance Center Facebook page or website at www.elitedancecenternc.com.
Substitutes: The studio reserves the right to provide a substitute teacher if the regularly scheduled teacher is ill or is otherwise unable to teach classes.
Dress Code: Required dancewear and dance shoes must be worn to all classes. Students are not permitted to wear jeans or shoes worn on the street or outdoors, to any class. For safety reasons, dancers are not permitted to wear jewelry. Hair must be pulled back from face.
Parent's Responsibility: It is the responsibility of the parent/guardian to be aware of all studio activities, such as dress rehearsal, recital weekend, picture day and dates the studio is opened and closed. All dates will be posted in the studio as well as on the studio website and Facebook page. The studio will provide electronic memos via e-mail throughout the year. If your email address changes at any point please make sure you provide the secretary with the correct address.
Care of Students: Students are not allowed to be kept for an excessive amount of time before or after class. If there is an emergency situation please call the studio.
Injuries: Parents and legal guardians of minor students and adult students waive the right to any legal action for any injury sustained on studio property or at any studio event resulting from normal dance activity or any other activity conducted by the students before, during, or after class time.
Personal Property: Parents, legal guardians of minor students and adult students waive the right to any legal action for any loss or damage to personal property sustained on studio property or at any studio event resulting from normal dance activity or any other activity conducted by the students before, during, or after class time. The studio is not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged property belonging to any student.
Photo Release: The studio is hereby granted permission to take photographs or video of the students to use in brochures, web sites, posters, advertisements, and other promotional materials the studio creates. Permission is also hereby granted for the studio to copyright such photos in its name.
Elite Dance Center will charge a $25 media fee per family for all dancers who participate in our end of year recital. This media fee allows you access to our annual spring recital video.
