1. If a student misses a lesson, the RLDC will not reschedule or refund that lesson. 2. In the case of extreme weather, the RLDC will operate in accordance with school closures and will close if the venue is closed. Missed classes will not be rescheduled or refunded on the basis that the weather is beyond the RLDC's control. 3. Children of Primary School age must be escorted to and from lessons. If anyone other than yourself is collecting your child, please notify the teacher before the class. 4. Parents are expected to notify teachers in advance when a student will miss a class. 5. Cover teachers may occasionally be required to take classes. These teachers will have the same DBS checks and qualifications as the regular teachers, and will have been deemed suitable by the RLDC to teach. 6. Correct and appropriate uniform, as outlined in the Uniform List, is expected at all times. 7. Dance examinations will be taken by students at the RLDC's discretion and will incur a separate fee to that of the termly fees. 8. Students will have the opportunity to perform throughout the year and parents must expect additional costume purchase or rental fees where necessary. 9. Students are enrolled into classes until they give 1 full terms notice of leaving. If a student withdraws without notice, fees will still be due and owing to RLDC for the notice period.
The RLDC will ensure that all teachers responsible for running classes are trained and insured for the appropriate genre and level of activity. I am aware that participating in dance, gymnastic activities and acrobatic dance involves inherent risks and hazards. I freely accept and fully assume all such risks, dangers, and hazards and the possibility of personal injury, property damage, or loss resulting from such risks and hazards. I accept that it is my responsibility to inform Ruby Lilly Dance Company of any pre-existing injury or medical condition prior to attending the studio. I voluntarily agree to release the RLDC, Ruby Lilly and other employees/volunteers/contractors from any and all liability for any loss, damage, injury or expense that I or my next of kin, successors or dependents may suffer or incur as a result of participation with this event due to any cause whatsoever. If I cannot be contacted, I authorize the Ruby Lilly Dance Company to seek medical services in case of serious injury or illness. I further agree to accept financial responsibility in excess of the benefits allowed by my health plan. I understand that the RLDC, Ruby Lilly, and other employees/volunteers/contractors will not assume responsibility for any lost or stolen property, or for any bodily or personal injury consisting of or arising out of and participation in any physical training or athletic activity.
I acknowledge that term fees are due on the date of the first day of the new term. It is the account holders responsibility to check the status of the account. If the fee is not paid within 7 days, a late fee of 20% will be added automatically onto the account.
Students are required to give 1 full terms notice to withdraw from class. If a student withdraws from a class before the notice period, fees are due and owing to RLDC for the duration of the notice period. Term breaks (including Summer Break, Easter, Winter Break, Half Term Breaks) do not contribute to the time served 'in notice'. RLDC operates a 3 term season: Term 1 September 2nd 2024 - December 15th 2024, Term 2 January 6th 2025 - April 13th 2025, Term 3 April 21st 2025 - July 13th 2025. To give notice of non-return to classes in Term 1 of the following season, notice must be given at the beginning of Term 3 or full payment for the notice period is required in the aforementioned Term 1. For example, to give notice of non return to Term 1 25/26 then notice would be required at the commencement of Term 3 24/25.
By accepting this policy, I agree to my child's likeness being used in photographs and video, taken and used as part of RLDC social media, website, presentation and advertising. If I do not agree to this, I understand I must inform Ruby Lilly via email and my preference will be fully respected.
