Policies & Procedures:
I have read, understand, and agree to all of the 2024-2025 policies, as listed in the dance brochure and online, including, but not limited to, the following:
* Dance classes at our studio are a school-year length activity. The dance year is broken into three billing sessions. The Fall Billing Session tuition is due upon registration. Your dancer will be automatically re-enrolled in the Winter & Spring billing sessions, unless you cancel in writing two weeks prior to the start of the next session.
* Our non-refundable registration fee is $35 per dancer ($25 for your second child, $20 for third child, $15 for fourth child), and it will be charged only once per school year season, upon your registration (whether you register in Fall, Winter or Spring).
* Tuition payment must be made by the due date for each billing session. We accept cash, checks, Zelle, and credit cards. Credit cards incur a 4% processing fee. A $15 late fee will be applied when an invoice is 15 days late, and an additional $15 will be charged every 15 days until paid in full. Tuition that is 30 days late will result in the dancer being asked to sit out of class.
*There are no refunds after the start of the second week of the session. If you need to cancel your registration prior to the second week, a $30 cancellation fee will be applied to your refund or credit. All cancellations must be submitted in writing, via email.
* There is no pro-rate available, but classes classes have single class rate options.
* In the event of state regulations demanding that our dance studio closes for in-person classes, we will shift to an online model with zoom classes and recorded video supplements. No refunds will be given for classes cancelled due to inclement weather or due to any other pandemic or force majeure event, but students may do make-up classes in any other class of a comparable level..
* At this time, masks are optional in the building and during dance class, but policies may change if guidance from local authorities changes.
Participant Waiver:
I/We, on our own behalf and as the guardian of the dancer being registered hereby release Movement & Sound Dance LLC, its agents and employees from all liability in respect to personal injury, illness (including Covid), or property damage that may be incurred, occurring on or off of the classes and premises. In the event that I cannot be reached in an emergency involving the above named participant, I hereby give permission to the appropriate medical personnel selected by the program leader to provide medical treatments deemed necessary by such personnel.
I certify that my child is in good health and capable of participating in all class activities.
I hereby give permission for Movement & Sound to take photographs for the promotional use of the business.
I have read and understand the following information about the recital:
The recital will be Sunday, June 1, 2025, at Barrington High School. Showtimes are to be decided. Please block off the week of Tuesday, May 27th through Friday, May 30th for recital-related events, including dress rehearsal.
The recital is not required, but we encourage all of our dancers to participate as a way to showcase all of their hard work and to feel the joy of performing.
If your dancer chooses to participate in the recital, attendance at the dress rehearsal is mandatory, as is staying for the entirety of their show, through the finale. You can find our recital handbook with all details at https://www.movementandsounddance.com/dance-recital.html.
